I don't want Gordon at all.
I agree completely for once lol.11 mill for BG to be the 6th man.. NO!!! OR even for Rip to be 6th man, that's not good. But Langolis is a retard I don't believe the crap he says.
Yea, I like Rip a lot. But he's too cocky and doesn't wanna be here anymore, we need to do him a favor and just trade him. Also there is pretty much a 0% chance Hamilton comes off the bench next year. Either going to get traded or we don't pick up another starting SG.
Don't forget about Oberto! Ha.If it's for a center, I'd be ok with it.
Kwame Brown is basically our only big man on the roster right now, and Maxiell if you count him.
If neither the Pistons nor Jazz offered Boozer a contract, he might be forced to take the mid-level exception from a team -- a drastic $7 million pay cut for Boozer next season. That, according to sources, is what is keeping Boozer up at night. If he opts out, he's taking a huge gamble ... one that few GMs expect him to take. "As soon as it looked like the Pistons were the only team with the money and desire to pay him," one Eastern Conference GM said, "I knew Boozer would be changing his mind. Unless I knew for sure that the Pistons would pay me big bucks, you just can't make that gamble. I fully expect him to be back with the Jazz next year."
Just some updates ;] Boozer is probably staying with Utah which means Gordon and Charlie V. are probably who we are going to go after hard.Bulls guard Ben Gordon, an unrestricted free agent, is probably at the top of the Pistons' wish list. At 26, he has become one of the most efficient and clutch scorers in the league, averaging 20.7 points with the Bulls last season, and 24 points in a brilliant playoff series against the Celtics. Boozer was believed to be the Pistons' top choice at power forward, but not at $14 million per year. Assuming Boozer does not dramatically reduce his asking price, the Pistons would go after Bucks forward Charlie Villanueva
From mlive. The Detroit Pistons and Utah Jazz are reportedly in talks about a trade that would send Rip Hamilton to Utah for Carlos Boozer, according to Bob Finnan of the northern Ohio News-Herald.
July 6, News-Herald: Talks continue between the Pistons and Jazz about a Carlos Boozer-Rip Hamilton trade. Hamilton didn't fit with Allen Iverson this season, and he won't fit with newly acquired Ben Gordon. In fact, Gordon has become Iverson. He has no conscience when taking shots.
I don't know the sources of Bob Finnan or if this report is accurate, but Yahoo! seems to believe the rumor has validity and has put up the report on their website.
Wednesday is the first day a trade can take place, so if it is being discussed, it would not happen until July 8 at the earliest.
