I wouldn't mind him. There are so many scenarios we could run through though this off-season. We just have to see which one Dumars picks.

11 mill for BG to be the 6th man.. NO!!! OR even for Rip to be 6th man, that's not good. But Langolis is a retard I don't believe the crap he says.

That's what I said, BG better not get paid that much if he comes here. I always read his mailbag posts, that dude knows a lot, I always believe what he says. If you actually read what he says, it's true.

Also there is pretty much a 0% chance Hamilton comes off the bench next year. Either going to get traded or we don't pick up another starting SG.

Yeah, if we pick up BG he is gone. There was an article on RealGM posted this morning that said Rip was "very, very upset" about coming off the bench last year, and that his relationship with Curry isn't so great. So I don't know.

Yea, I like Rip a lot. But he's too cocky and doesn't wanna be here anymore, we need to do him a favor and just trade him.

If it's for a center, I'd be ok with it.

Kwame Brown is basically our only big man on the roster right now, and Maxiell if you count him.

Trade him for a center. So many teams would probably take him.

Kaman for Rip is really the only deal I could think of.

I want BG, but the whole height thing will kill us and the only way I see us getting a Center is by moving Rip but his contract is kinda like hell LOL.

The way Dumars has said he will add 2 pieces through FAcy and we should be better is bullshit, we have a lot of problems to be solved. Oh and adding 30 year old Hedo for 4-5 years 46-52Mill is not worth it... We need a total rebuild but Dumars won't do it.

If neither the Pistons nor Jazz offered Boozer a contract, he might be forced to take the mid-level exception from a team -- a drastic $7 million pay cut for Boozer next season. That, according to sources, is what is keeping Boozer up at night. If he opts out, he's taking a huge gamble ... one that few GMs expect him to take. "As soon as it looked like the Pistons were the only team with the money and desire to pay him," one Eastern Conference GM said, "I knew Boozer would be changing his mind. Unless I knew for sure that the Pistons would pay me big bucks, you just can't make that gamble. I fully expect him to be back with the Jazz next year."
Bulls guard Ben Gordon, an unrestricted free agent, is probably at the top of the Pistons' wish list. At 26, he has become one of the most efficient and clutch scorers in the league, averaging 20.7 points with the Bulls last season, and 24 points in a brilliant playoff series against the Celtics. Boozer was believed to be the Pistons' top choice at power forward, but not at $14 million per year. Assuming Boozer does not dramatically reduce his asking price, the Pistons would go after Bucks forward Charlie Villanueva
Just some updates ;] Boozer is probably staying with Utah which means Gordon and Charlie V. are probably who we are going to go after hard.

Boozer is smart not to opt out. He wouldn't make nearly as much as he would of.

But he is also going to be <Censored> outta luck next year. With so many better free agents going to be available he will probably get even worst then what he would of gotten this year, and may even have to settle for the MLE. If he wants like a 4 year deal, and still making a high income he should just opt out.

The Detroit Pistons and Utah Jazz are reportedly in talks about a trade that would send Rip Hamilton to Utah for Carlos Boozer, according to Bob Finnan of the northern Ohio News-Herald.

July 6, News-Herald: Talks continue between the Pistons and Jazz about a Carlos Boozer-Rip Hamilton trade. Hamilton didn't fit with Allen Iverson this season, and he won't fit with newly acquired Ben Gordon. In fact, Gordon has become Iverson. He has no conscience when taking shots.

I don't know the sources of Bob Finnan or if this report is accurate, but Yahoo! seems to believe the rumor has validity and has put up the report on their website.

Wednesday is the first day a trade can take place, so if it is being discussed, it would not happen until July 8 at the earliest.
From mlive.
I'm guessing Dumars wants that 13 million expiring.

Yeah probably. Combining his contract with Kwame could bring us like $17 million expiring, and we shouldn't be too much over the CAP. So we would bring in like 2 more solid pieces next season if this happens.

Also Dumars and Johnson's meeting went good I guess.
No contract is in place though.

They said they assume it would be a 5 year deal. Meaning we might actually keep a coach around for a while lol.
