This hire gets me excited, like I said from the start there were about 6-8 guys I really liked, he was one of them. Gentry + a defensive assistant like Shaw would be a home run.

Pels had Gentry above Hoiberg, that is surprising.

Probably lowered Hoiberg once they realized they couldn't get him to save face

That's = to me saying I think the Celtics should target Tobias Harris over Lebron this offseason

Because Lebron fucking hates Boston, and is probably the last team he'd go to in the entire league.

Hoiberg was never going to the Pelicans; doesn't matter if they wanted him or not

Lol ok, whether he ever considered here or not, I'm more than happy with Gentry.

Though the fact that Dell flew up to interview him just this last week says there was a little interest. So for you to say he was "never coming here" is yet another outlandish statement by you.

Primarily responsible for the Warriors offense — top-rated for most of the season — Gentry believes the Pelicans have underutilized Davis’ offensive skills. Not only did he express this during his initial interview with Loomis and Demps, but Gentry also came into that session equipped with charts and graphs to illustrate his point.

Very interested to see what Gentry can do with AD.

Don Newman would be an excellent hire to run the defense. Newman almost joined Gentry four years ago to be his DC but opted to stay in San Antonio, where he has been for 8 seasons. But, Newman was born and raised in NOLA so the opportunity to work at home could be to much to pass up. He's just the start. Brian Shaw, Tim Grgurich, Mike Longabardi, Stephen Silas, Joe Prunty, Nate McMillen, Andy Greer. All would make this a home run hire.

I literally think they could've signed the bag boy at your local grocery store and you would've said it was a great hire
