I could see a Monroe S&T for Ryno or something if Jeff becomes the coach lol.

I've been wondering what it would take to get Carroll from Atlanta. Ryno for Carroll?
Hes a UFA, so a lot more than Anderson

You don't have the cap space to get him, so you'd have to do a S&T. Anderson only makes $8M, and Carrol will get $11-14M on the open market. Meaning, you have to add salary with Anderson to get him

They wouldn't touch that trade with a ten foot pole, but Carroll is a FA as mentioned above

It could potentially play out where it is enticing to them.

Also sounds like Gentry and JVG are the last two men standing.

This isn't really on topic, but has anyone ever listened to JVG call in to a show, or podcast, or listened to him talk about anything for an extended period of time?

He was on with Zach Lowe not too long ago, and that mother fucker would spend at least ten minutes talking about something and end up saying absolutely nothing.  Dude could circle around a topic for hours and you'll still be sitting there waiting to hear the point.

I didn't listen to the podcast after Monty got fired, but I've heard him in other podcasts, I've seen videos and stuff, dude is smart. I just worry if his personality is a little to much. Alot of people say it's a tv thing though, entertainment.

No. Carroll is far more valuable to them than Anderson would be. Stop with this nonsense

I'm anxiously awaiting the first time he hacks DeAndre Jordan.

Like I said, it could potentially play out to where that is not the case.

Maybe it doesn't, but POTENTIALLY it could.

I'm not doubting his knowledge of the game, I just hate listening to him talk any more than his color commentary.

I know, I'm just saying it's all entertainment purposes. I'm sure he'd be very different if he's actually coaching.

No it couldn't. They aren't trading their starting SF and glue guy for a bench piece with injury concerns. 1000 GM's would rather have Carroll

Why are you automatically assuming Carroll is staying in Atlanta?

Why are you assuming Carroll would choose to play for $12M in New Orleans when he'll probably get $15 from the Knicks? Or $14 from Portland

While I don't think he's nearly as good, he could easily get the Gordon Hayward contract

He's a really good 3&D player

That's why I don't think he's getting that much, offense gets you paid in this league. I could see him getting 12 to 12.5 though.
