Player leaves money to join other players for a chance to win, ridiculed by everyone for taking the easy way out. Guy takes more money to try and help the team he's on build in to a contender, criticized for choosing money over talent. You can't win these days.

It's different because he was known to be upset with not winning last season. I mean if you're going to go back to this situation, don't get angry when you aren't winning as much as you'd like and especially don't request a trade two years from now if the team doesn't get built back up. That's all I'm asking for. Like Screamin A Smith said, Melo likes to win, but he loves his money.

But it sounds like he might actually be confident they will turn things around next offseason. Can't knock him for that either.

Admittedly it may have something to do with Chris Paul leaving New Orleans. I just want guys to play out their contracts, and this tweet today that Melo can get his money now and worry about where he's playing later may not even be true, but if it is it's absolute bullshit.

I feel like it's more that if they don't turn things around after two years he forces a trade.

I don't like it either but hey, it's something.

Yeah it is if it's true.

But I personally think we have one of the deeper squads in the league, an even tho I love Woody, his offense wasn't gettin it done/gettin the most out of everyone

I think Calderon will be huge for us, but with no Tyson to save the day, we need that defensive effort we saw 2yrs back.. From everyone.

And I read somewhere (think it was stephen a) that he wants a no-trade clause as well. Meaning he still would get to choose his destination in a trade.

It's kind of a dick move but I kind of respect his hustle, lol.

I don't know how he could turn down this offer.

Scores New York is a strip club in Manhattan that is looking to capitalize off the free-agency frenzy  taking the nation by storm. If Carmelo Anthony is to stay in New York, Scores has put together a “Melo Love” package for him to enjoy.

The package includes (1) free lap dances for life, (2) the ability to judge Scores’ “Dollars for Scholars” amateur pole dancing competition (which culminates in a $15,000 scholarship, in Melo’s name, to the winner!), (3) a new drink — “The Melo Carmelo” — to be served in the club forever, (4) Melo’s own personal ball girl and cheerleading squad for every Knicks game, and, finally, (5) a topless charity basketball game in his honor (in which he could play), “where holding is not a foul.”

Whenever a prominent athlete is weighing New York as a landing place, Strip Clubs seem to come out of nowhere to offer incentives to the free-agent, so this offer isn’t too uncommon. With that said, Melo has been married for four years and has a son, Kiyan, so I don’t imagine he’ll be taking Scores up on their offer.

Well, it actually hasn't ever been done. He didn't build the Laker or Bulls teams.
