Who's gonna defend on that Knicks team? Seriously?

Dalembert is okay at defending, Shump can guard... probably our big problem there will be the defense.

Who needs defense when you have Carmelo and basketball god Phil Jackson in the front office?

Y'all realize this is a whole new regime right?

So all those negatives y'all are puttin out about defense, could be all in the past... Shit 2 yrs ago for a good part of the season we were a top defensive team. Melo showed he can defend, just this past season

It's all about effort. With the right man leading, this team may have all the motivation it needs

Don't doubt Phil.

Shit y'all said Melo would never resign..☑
He'd never be able to find deals for Stat/Bargs/Felton.. 1/3 of a ☑

I don't think they're a true contender but they'll be better than last year. It'd be hard to be worse.

True, I hope so, I think this is the year Melo becomes "The Man" for us, by that, I mean a leader on offense and defense.

Holding cats responsible and vice versa, I don't know much about the triangle never cared to look it up (guess this should be the time) but if he does like I said, we'll be ok.

And im sure I said the exact opposite 4 months ago but I still have faith in Amar'e being good again. Yea, you're gonna kill me for flip flopping on him over and over.

The Knicks aren't playing for this year. They're waiting for Amare and Bargs to expire, then they attempt to build around Melo

Would anyone say the Knicks have even gotten better? I'd say they've taken a step back.

Not that it's a bad thing, like cheato said they aren't playing for this year.

Anyone over Mr. Potato Head at HC is an improvement, that's why they'll be better

Calderon over Felton is going to be an improvement. I'd like to think Fisher could reign in Smith, which would help. Like I said, I think they make the playoffs

Calderon may be an improvement but I don't think it's a big enough improvement to move the needle.

I'd also say the Knicks problem last season was defensively, and they haven't done anything to improve upon that. They may have even downgraded.

I'd take Calderon over Felton to run PG for my team, but it has to be taken into consideration that Calderon is very poor defensively.

What would ever lead you to believe that a rookie coach could reign in Smith.

Half of the defensive battle in the NBA is effort. Like dez mentioned, we all know Carmelo can defend, it's just effort.

I know the roster is different, but this was a 2 seed in the East two years ago. I'm not saying they'll get back to that level but I really think they can make the playoffs

Derek Fisher was well respected by all players around the league (former NBAPA head) and I think JR Smith realizes what he has to do.
