I think that says a lot about the Cavs coaching staff, maybe more than it does about LeBron. Can't blame Curry for having a staff that has put together an actual offensive system that can function operationally without him in the lineup.

Well, he is on the coaching staff too, isn't he? ;)

Cant blame them, but put that into consideration when talking about the MOST VALUABLE to his team. Without curry, the warriors are still a contender, and i dont remember the last time we were able to say that such and such team is still a contender WITHOUT their mvp.

They are a good team without Curry, but they are not a contender. Not sure how one can make that argument based on a few victories against the Rockets and Blazers

Few victories? Look at their roster lol. Klay was balling as the first option. Putting up 25+ , even had three games in a row with 7+ threes which has never been done before. Green was also killing it. Livingston was a nightmare for other PGs bc of his length. Anyway, still a very good team, which u cant say the same if lebron was off the cavs

Yea, a few victories. Klay was balling as a first option, and Green is a great player. But I've seen Kyrie score at will as a first option, with a great front court player in Kevin Love on the team as well.

The Warriors have a better team than the Cavs, that is hard to argue, although a lot of Cavs fans will still argue that anyway. Regardless, I don't see what that has to do with each players skill level. I would not argue with the fact that LeBron is probably more important to the Cavs than Curry is to the Warriors, but that doesn't automatically make LeBron a better player.

There's no reason to debate with someone who isn't open to having their mind changed. The fact that you think anyone can give you a top 5 list without a moments notice says a lot. That's the sort of thing you have to put research into if you want to give the most realistic list possible, certainly not something you can do at the request of someone.

That you havent researched that before and never thought about it makes me wonder what you do know. Makes it seem like youre the one without an open mind, to first say curry is GREAT defender, and then come out and say youve never put thought into a top 5 lol. How is that any fair

So lets do this. How about you go do your reasearch on top 5 pg defenders right now and top 5 all time and then come back and lets see if you think curry is still a "GREAT defender" in your eyes. To put him in the great categorie is a slap to the face to actual great defenders

why would you have steph curry guard the top guy, when there are other comparable defenders on the team? He's the best offensive player in the world, so there is no need for him to exhaust himself defensively.

Kawhi plays the top guy, but he also does not initiate the offense either. He's a very damn good scorer but he's not someone who's gonna create his own and run the o

Why is Westbrook so mediocre defensively? He has every tool necessary to be the best defensive point on the league, and for the most part, he just isn't very good on that end of the floor. He was am elite defender in college, and most people thought that if his offensive game never developed, he could at least stick as a lock down defensive specialist.

He's an odd case.

With Russ it seems to be a combination of laziness and maybe IQ. The way he isn't even in a defensive stance some of the times is pretty bad.

Anyway this thread has been a shit show, i dont even understand how you can watch his games and say otherwise. He's had the best offensive season of all time.
