Lol well this pretty hilarious and awkward now. Hope you watched last gamenolafan33 said:Heavily disagree. There's this overwhelming opinion that Steph is some sort of push over on the defensive end and that's just not true. You weren't here back then, but some of the guys who were may remember me jumping on the "Steph Curry is a good defender" bandwagon years ago when Mark Jackson was still the coach. He's taken another step under Kerr (or Ron Adams should I say) to the point that he's one of the best defensive PG's in the league right now. I will say with the hand checking rules the league currently has you really don't have that shutdown defensive PG anymore, but Steph is still really really really good on that end. We are talking about a guy with exceptional instincts and can move his feet and stay in front of his man as well as anyone in the league. He's an elite man/ball defender because of his instincts and smarts in this league which makes him a great help defender as well as being able to get out and contest his man on the perimeter, and because of how smart he is you rarely catch him out of position. He's also very strong, he uses his strength to routinely get players out of their preferred positions on the court as well as fighting through screens to contest shots and the ball handler. He also has very quick hands which contributed to his league leading 2.1 steals a game. In this day and age every PG is going to get beat at least once or twice a game because of the leagues rules and just the overall talent of the position, but Steph is absolutely an elite defensive PG.
Except for the fact that he was absolutely dreadful those precious two years he took the court, even if it was small sample size.
