I think you're overreacting. Plenty of teams would still be willing to trade a good amount for one year of Davis, especially Boston, who probably thinks they have a good shot at convincing him to stay.

I know you've said they're different situations, but both PG and Kawhi were given a 0% chance of resigning too.

You can say that as much as you want, but teams arent going to get scared off by the Lakers. Im not saying teams are going to offer the world to the Pels even with the Lakers looming, but they will still offer better packages than the Lakers. The Celtics for example, are offering Tatum regardless. You really undersell how highly NBA teams think of themselves. They fully believe they can convince players to stay, and we have seen countless scenarios where this has played out.
