Right, it'd have to go:

Kyrie tells them he's staying -> trade for Davis -> Kyrie changes his mind, walks -> AD plays one year with Rozier, Hayward, etc. -> Davis walks -> Boston fucked -> Isaiah Thomas laughs somewhere while stabbing needles into a Danny Ainge voodoo doll

Lol

Sooo in your opinion this is what would go down

Kyrie leaves
Celtics offer tatum+ for AD
Get AD for a year WITHOUT Kyrie
AD plays with hayward and horford and so incredibly happy with the potential of this team
Ends up re signing with them bc they can DEFINITELY with a championship without Kyrie

Dude its not how this works lol if Kyrie walk, YOU ARE NOT GETTING OFFERRED TATUM

Ainge wont risk that
To be fair, Horford/Davis/Hayward/Jaylen/Rozier definitely still contends in the East (especially if Kawhi goes to the Clippers)

but its not happening

Its 100% true. Doesnt the fact that Boston is pushing to agree to a deal now kind of prove that? Tatum is offered regardless, Ive said that from the beginning, but again the main sticking point is whats offered after that.
You cant agree to a deal right now because Irving is under contract lol. Theyre definitely putting pieces together for a deal, but its hardly binding. Tatum would 100% be in the deal if Kyrie stays, but were not giving up Tatum if Ky walks lmao

Thats like saying Milwaukee would still trade for AD if Giannis suffered a career ending injury today. Itd be a 0% chance

^ This.

Kyrie has to have a different contract in order to get AD. They may call NO and say hey, we'll offer you this, this, and that in the summer.

He only got one ring , right?

Not gonna fly

Football is way too much of a team sport to let rings define who is better than who. These quarterbacks aren't even on the field half the game. But I'm not going down that rabbit hole.
