Not very. I'd still have the Thunder, Spurs, Rockets, Warriors, Grizzlies, Pelicans and Clippers ahead of them. If the Suns get Aldridge I'd have to see them play, but I think I'd take them.
Think the Warriors and Thunder are your elite of the elite teams, with the Spurs and Rockets on their tails. But they could fall back into the tier with the Grizzlies and the Pelicans If things fall a certain way. They're in the tier with the Clippers, Suns, and even the Jazz.

Refreshing to see players saying no to big markets (New York, LAL) to sign with winning/up and coming teams.

Only cause of each teams star players... nobody wants to play w/ Kobe or Melo

And I dont blame them..

Melo will shoot a contested 3 in the middle of a designed play
And Kobe still thinks he's 24, wanting LA to "Fill Pau's Role"

I'm so sick of this fucking statement, and I see it all the time. Name 12 stars who have signed with the Knicks and Lakers in the last 10 years. You can't. Even if you include the Nets it's a stretch to reach 12

Lakers hardly ever had cap room to sign Free Agents, because they had successful rosters, with Kobe, Pau, and Odom carrying high enough cap hits to prevent a Max FA from signing

But they got Pau from Memphis. They got Dwight from Orlando. The should have gotten Chris Paul from New Orleans. They also had smaller moves like singing MWP, Nash, etc that were considered big at the time but just never played well.

Name me other teams that acquired that much talent over that time span. I have the Celtics, Heat, Rockets, and Cavaliers.

LA absolutely has the big market allure. And the Knicks would too if it werent obvious to everybody that Dolan is awful.

Kosta Koufos and the Kings agreed to a four-year, $33 million deal.

The Kings were able to pry Koufos away from teams like the Clippers, but they did have to pay up for a backup big man. Coach George Karl was a fan of Kosta in Denver and he may use him at power forward. He fared very well at rim protection last season, but that was in a terrific Memphis system. Koufos wasn't able to step up in three starts last season, so he doesn't have great handcuff value. Plus, he only had an 11.5 usage rate as a power forward next to Marc Gasol last season. The Kings have arguably the best center in basketball, but they drafted a center at six and their biggest contract of the offseason was also to a center.

Raptors signed Bismack. Our front court is much stronger this season I think
