Antonetti said Tribe has one trade proposal that "you guys wouldn't believe. I could probably give you 50 guesses & you wouldn't get it."

Should I get excited?

Well that quote was very discrete lol, could be anything, but I believe him after he traded a guy who was thought to be untouchable for Ubaldo.

No, because he would have already made the deal if it was something that you would get you excited

Gotta run shit by owners, especially ones that never spend. Although you're right, what he was talking about wont happen.

I just don't see how the Indians can't make a big move though. If they don't, there literally was no point to even trading for Ubaldo last year if you aren't going to try and compete. We need a big bat.

#STLCARDS Pujols now has three teams that are offering 10-year contracts in excess of $200 million: STL, MIAMI, AND unidentified team
Lozano taking a page out of Scott Boras' book with the infamous "mystery team"!

Gotta looooove that Mystery team.

My guess is Cubs. They were rumored to make an offer this morning.

Guess Detroit and the Mets have been talking a Murphy - Dirks deal.

I'd do it. Plus I want Dirks to have a chance to start somewhere, he deserves that.

I heard that ealier. Haven't heard it since, lol.

Mets also signed Jon Rauch to a 1 year deal for $3.5M. To me, it's a waste. But w/e. Anyhow:

Mets talking with Giants.

Pagan

for

Ramon Ramirez
Andres Torres

I like it.

Sounds like the Angels are going after Pujols and may be the "Mystery Team".

Peter Gammons is apparently reporting that the Cards put away their checkbook and think Pujols is signing with Miami

It's a bad move for any team to sign Pujols for ten years and over $200 million. Unless he barely regresses, the contract will be disastrous in the long run.

Having to suffer with that contract for the last 4 years is better than not having him for the first 6.

Still wouldn't want to be paying a 40 year old 22 mil or w.e.

I think Pujols ends up with the Marlins just my opinion, even with the Cardinals reportedly upping their offer.

NY Daily News claims Miami Marlins OUT of the Running for Albert Pujols:

I'm still not bought on that, though.

A lot of reliable sources at Winter Meetings that haven't said that. A lot have hinted he's siding towards staying in St. Louis because of his ties there and the money isn't much of a difference, AND STL is offering No-Trade, but none have officially ruled out the Marlins.

Mets made a couple of moves recently:

Traded Angel Pagan to the Giants for Andres Torres and Ramon Ramirez.

Sign Jon Rauch.

Also signed Frank Francisco.

Now we have some bullpen help.
