It's not Murphy's fault he's tossed around from position to position. He played 3B mostly while in minor leagues, was just starting to learn 2B prior to this season, and effectively moved to 1B when Ike got injured so they could get Turner in the lineup most, since he had a hot bat off the bench at the time.

Murphy can play 1B or 3B well defensively, probably more suited for 3B though because most 1B are power hitters, although that has nothing to do with his defense.

No its not his fault, Im just saying that his best defensive position would probably be 3rd base because thats where he started out. I also wouldnt mind seeing him play some more 2nd base either.

8:19pm: Jim Duquette of MLB Network Radio reports (via Twitter) that the Nationals are the team that offered Wilson six years.

does any other team give Harang 2/12?

HELL NO

fuck Ned Colletti

rhis guy is so f'ing old school it's sickening. other GM's are laughing at him
he always mentions RBI's

and i bet the only reason Harang got a better deal than Capuano is because of the Wins and ERA

ugh

supposed 10 year offer from Marlins to Pujols. Now it just depends on amount/yr and like Infamous said, a NTC.

Angels Pursuing CJ Wilson

Silly season is in full effect. Just hours after it was reported and quickly denied that C.J. Wilson had a six-year offer on the table from the Nationals, Jon Paul Morosi of FOXSports.com hears that the Angels are making a “serious push” to sign the free agent left-hander. Ah, Winter Meetings.

Jeff Wilson of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reported Monday afternoon that there are five teams in the mix for Wilson, including the Rangers, Angels, Marlins, Nationals and an unidentified “mystery team.” One of the five has reportedly made a six-year offer, though it’s not believed to be from either the Rangers or Nationals.

Red Sox general manager Ben Cherington is scheduled to meet with Bob Garber, the agent for Wilson and Roy Oswalt this week, but he told Gordon Edes of ESPNBoston.com tonight that he is unlikely to pursue “top-tier” free agent starters.

Wow. Nationals aren't screwing around either.
The Nationals have never been screwing around. Theyve tried to sign big free agents for a while now, but no one wants to go there. They tried to get Mark T. and they offered him a good contract. They way overpaid Werth and now they are going to overpay Wilson.

I'm no body language expert, but #Marlins looked rather smiley as Albert Pujols talks approach critical point.

You got a chance to sign the best player in the game, go for it.

A ten year deal for a 31 one year old player at that amount of money, isn't worth it for anyone imo lol.

"Congrats to Brandon on his first multi hit day of 2011, instead of singles, it was cars! Good for you Brandon, way to hit something."

Lmao, Inge was involved in a multi car crash today.
