In the Finals he was part of the problem.Bad coaching? Spo was not a problem this year..
I wouldn't blame their loss on anyone individually though.

Because your favorite player was the one who deserves most of the blame for the finals...In the Finals he was part of the problem.

I agree.People are overreacting for what happened to the Heat. They lost in the NBA finals in 6 games in their first season playing together. Considering everything that happened during the year, they did a very good job.
Not necessarily; a large part of it has to do with the fact that they celebrated this championship last offseason at their player introduction ceremony. They set these high expectations on themselves and now they are paying for it.People are overreacting for what happened to the Heat.
Lakerfan has spoken. Not necessarily; a large part of it has to do with the fact that they celebrated this championship last offseason at their player introduction ceremony. They set these high expectations on themselves and now they are paying for it.
They were excited to play with each other, people overanalyze everything nowadays. They set high expectations because thats what you do as a competitor. What do you expect them to say? "We are planning on making it to the Finals and losing our first year."Not necessarily; a large part of it has to do with the fact that they celebrated this championship last offseason at their player introduction ceremony. Let's not kid ourselves. That wasn't a modest ''we're excited to play together'' press conference by any stretch of the imagination. It was this:They were excited to play with each other, people overanalyze everything nowadays. They set high expectations because thats what you do as a competitor. What do you expect them to say? "We are planning on making it to the Finals and losing our first year."
They played every game on the road as if it was a playoff game. Everyone wanted to beat them and they finished the season very well. Its tremendously draining playing the leagues best every night and they were really close to winning the championship with basically 5 guys.
Everyone is making Lebron a punching bag and making all these dumb jokes. I personally dont like the guy, but I also dont hate him. How is this not an overreaction? They lost a Finals series 4-2. They lost 1 game by 2 and another by 3. A couple of breaks and they wouldve won.
You dont change up a team that was so good considering everything factored in.
Spoelstra is a good coach, but he isn't the authoritative figure that team needs. Just way too many egos to manage.pat riley needs to coach them imo
What do you suppose a "king's ransom" package would look like. Miami is going to lose in any deal they make because fair trade value for him means ripping your team apart.Spoelstra is not a good coach, but even if he was - the team doesn't respect him. Yes, they need Pat Riley.
The team will be fine with LeBum like everyone has said, losing 4-2 in the finals in their first year together can only mean good things for the future... But trading LeCon for a 'kings ransom' (pun not intended, I swear) for a part that would better fill the team's needs... Only a good move.
A serious NBA fan didnt expect this team to win the championship right from the start. They didnt have a complete team and that was expected. 1 year is not an appropriate amount of time for a team that was assembled the way this Heat team was. Players everywhere are nowadays making grandiose claims that arent fufilled as well. For example, Plax saying they were going to beat the Patriots, Mikhail saying the Nets will win it all in 5 years, and now Lebron saying he's going to win multiple championships.Let's not kid ourselves. That wasn't a modest ''we're excited to play together'' press conference by any stretch of the imagination. It was this:
...a grandiose, sensationalized, extravagant celebration for a team that had yet to play a game where certain claims about 'championships' were made. I certainly don't remember better teams than Miami engaging in something even close to that, do you? Here we are a few months later, and people are expecting the media and casual fans to exercise sympathy when those very public made claims and statements were not fulfilled?
Let's not mince words. The Heat have invited this type of criticism from the very day the roster was assembled. The expectation for this team, this season, clearly was to win a championship and it just so happened to be the most covered story in the NBA this year. They did not. You can argue whether or not their Finals berth was a moral victory, but it does not change the fact that this season was a failure. That is the only insight necessary to understand why Lebron and the rest of his team are punching bags at the moment.
