I think we are moving off topic. My response came as a result of you wondering why Lebron, and by extension the Miami Heat, are 'punching bags' at the moment. I gave you a pretty clear assessment why that is. Let's address the rest of your comments, though.

You are understating this team's relationship with the media, and how that attention, in turn, is leading to the negative press today. 'The Decision', their off season celebration, player twitter accounts, the Dirk comments, Lebron's recent comments; they are all examples of the team's 'healthy' involvement within the news cycle, much of which players were actively complicit in feeding. Lebron James, additionally, happens to be the most marketable player in the league. Fact of the matter is, the Heat very, very publicly signed 3 all stars to near max contracts and compromised the rest of their team for the express goal of winning a title today. This was a notion that the media also embraced and yes, which real NBA fans expected them to win. When they did not, all this exposure turned on its head, leading to the situation we have today. I happen to think its warranted.

No, this does not compare with the Patriots, Plaxico Burress, or the Nets because neither one of those things were as relevant to their respective leagues as the Heat were to the NBA. The Heat made their bed, and now they are sleeping in it. And quite frankly, in most cases, they are feeding the very drama it sounds like you are complaining about.
I understand where your coming from and you are right. I just feel that the team shouldnt be significantly changed until we see a more complete resume from this team. Thusly why I think people are overreacting.

Cavs had Varejao, who was a solid big man. Varejao>Bass, the Magic's best big.

And how did Lebron do in the playoffs with Cleveland anyways?
no. bass>side show bob

Varejao is really underrated

this is truthful btw. im not being sarcastic

Andy V gets a bad rap because of his hair and his flopping
but hey, dont hate the player, hate the game.

He really is.. His quickness along with size is almost unmatched defensively by another center in the league. He's probably the best in the league as a center when it comes to defending the pick and roll. Not to mention his hustle on every play.

and the fact that Bass sucks

but yeah, what you said
I've grown to like Varejao.
all 29 other teams would love to have him for sure

he being overpaid is pretty overstated too

I use to not even like him that much because all he did was flop but he really transformed his game and has actually cut down the flopping a lot since it's not as easy to get the call now but still has maintained great defensive play.

The Heat would likely send Bosh and filler for Howard, if a trade were to occur between these division rivals.

Just like the Heat wouldn't trade LeBron for Howard. No one gets back equal value for star players anymore.

I miss Ryan Anderson, and so does Brook.

Actually had a very good year. Took stupid shots at times but he was one of the more efficient players on the team/

off-topic, I hate reading Dwayne Wade when his name is Dwyane Wade.

on-topic, why is everyone even arguing whether or not LeBron should go for Dwight when there is a 99.99% chance that doesn't happen. If that 0.01% wins, idk what to say, but i don't see Miami making that move.
