If Stafford stays healthy he will be a franchise QB.
And what are you talking about? A franchise QB is a QB that the franchise has committed to. Romo IS a franchise QB, as is Braford, Freeman, etc. You don't know what your talking about.A franchise QB is a guy that can lead his team, and will be an elite quarterback. He'll actually play games, and he'll do something productive for the team.
How the fuck do you have Tony Romo, Matt Stafford, Sam Bradford, Matt Cassel, or Josh Freeman listed as franchise quarterbacks.
Romo is good for one thing. Choking, and being hurt. And if you're so critical of Peyton being a choker, then why the fuck do you list him on there? At least Peyton can stay healthy. Matt Cassel, as proven today, is not a franchise quarterback worth a shit and a half. A franchise guy will LEAD his team, and give them a chance at winning. Cassel is not that guy.
The others have potential to be there, but are not there yet. And honestly, Stafford already scares me with his injuries.
Back to the topic of WRs- I forgot that you guys had such a great year.
Right on, but it's easier when you have Megatron, lol.If Stafford stays healthy he will be a franchise QB.
Romo is not a franchise quarterback. Where has he taken his team? Absolutely no where. Where was he this year? On the bench. Where did he taken them last year? No where. Until he takes them DEEP into the playoffs, he's not a franchise quarterback. The team is not built around him, when they have a stellar run game that is well utilized. And what are you talking about? What does it matter whether this is the regular season or the postseason and how many rings they have this century? The Bucs have a ring this century and they're sitting on their couches. This isn't the regular season anymore. Both teams have more than two rings this century. To the Jets zero.
I think that may give them a bit of an edge. But then again, so does the absolute sluaghter of New York in the last game against New England.
Let's not forget that the Colts barely won their division and New York beat them on a field goal as time expired.
i agree with this man.And what are you talking about? A franchise QB is a QB that the franchise has committed to.
There is a difference between a FRANCHISE QB and a GOOD/GREAT/ELITE QB. You're mixing the two as one.Right on, but it's easier when you have Megatron, lol.

The rest of them, it's too early to tell. They have tonnes of potential to be franchise quarterbacks, but they haven't reached that yet.

Better for you?The team is not built around him
The Jets' were in the same position as Tampa two seasons ago. It matters in that we all know the Patriots and Steelers are clutch in the playoffs. What does it matter whether this is the regular season or the postseason and how many rings they have this century? The Saints shit on the Seahawks during the regular season, worked out well for them in the playoffs.
Let's not forget that everyone was also picking the Colts to win this game and the Jets won despite shoddy QB play.
Oh yeah, the Pats are so clutch in the playoffs, 2007 showed just how clutch they were. I don't give a shit about their teams in the earlier part of the decade because their roster is completely different outside of Brady and maybe another player or two.The Jets' were in the same position as Tampa two seasons ago. The Saints' had the ball in the red zone seven times, that may be a tribute to the Seahawks line -- or -- the simple fact that they were missing their best runningback(s).
The Colts were playing with a basic practice squad, the Jets had basically their full team and won by a field goal. Get over yourself.
It's not the same team from 2007 either...just in case you didn't realize that was 3 years ago.Oh yeah, the Pats are so clutch in the playoffs, 2007 showed just how clutch they were. Still a decent amount of guys from that team still there. It's not the same team from 2007 either...just in case you didn't realize that was 3 years ago.
So he's not a franchise QB because he was hurt? That's a terrible argument - Brady missed 15 games in 2008; I guess he wasn't the franchise QB. Since when does a DEEP playoff run constitute being a franchise QB? It may constitute being a great QB, but the Cowboys signed Romo to a very long extension; they are committed to him to be the QB of their team for many years to come. Their running game is not steller by the way, what are you talking about?!? They were 16th in the league in rushing this year, hardly stellar. Romo is a very good QB, on the verge of becoming great. But that has nothing to do with the fact that he is the Dallas Cowboys' franchise QB...Right on, but it's easier when you have Megatron, lol.

In 2007, New England set NFL records, won all but one game the entire season and made it to the SuperBowl. The Jets' haven't been in a superbowl since the 60's. The roster may be different, but they still have Brady and Bill -- I'm sure that's about all they need. Look at Branch, he was terrible in Seattle. He has started more games this season in New England than he did in Seattle in the past two season. He also has two more touchdowns than he did in those two seasons as a Patriot.Oh yeah, the Pats are so clutch in the playoffs, 2007 showed just how clutch they were. I don't give a shit about their teams in the earlier part of the decade because their roster is completely different outside of Brady and maybe another player or two.
They were missing Pierre Thomas who was a nobody and still would be if the Saints didn't have such a great passing attack. He isn't going to make a difference.
I don't give a shit if a team has injuries or not. The Jets have been missing Kris Jenkins since the first game of the season, one of the best DTs in football. We're missing the heart and soul of our defense in Jim Leonhard who is also the signal caller. To hold the Colts to as many points as we did yesterday is a great feat since they're one of the best offensive teams in the league.
I'll wait until the playoffs. The Magic have played a harder schedule and the series is tied 1-1. Both teams went through growing pains while adjusting their lineups. (The Magic after the trade especially)29-8 > 25-12
Matt was 27/7 this year. Anybody on this forum would be delighted if their QB puts up those numbers. I was disappointed in his play in the game. But I'm not gonna give up on him after thinking about how we literally signed a dude off the street and started him in Kevin Curtis and how D-Bowe was on the back of a milk carton today and how Mccluster is almost worthless.A franchise QB is a guy that can lead his team, and will be an elite quarterback. He'll actually play games, and he'll do something productive for the team.
