The Broncos ran more than they passed when they had Davis and Elway. I guess Elway wasn't a franchise QB...
Troy Aikman had the leading rusher in NFL history behind him, I guess he wasn't a Franchise QB.The Broncos ran more than they passed when they had Davis and Elway. I guess Elway wasn't a franchise QB...
No, we're not.You all are throwing around the word franchise QB like every QB in the league is one.
Also irrelevant. They did smack the Jets around twice that season.
I refered to Branch in response to you saying they were a different team -- obviously that doesn't matter, they still won the division.
Sig bet on who wins Jets vs Patriots. I got New England.
This isn't hockey.......Everyone has their own interpretation of a franchise QB then, IMO a franchise QB is someone that is untouchable and will constantly lead your team. At least that's how it is in hockey.
That's the best you can come up with? Also irrelevant.
Still isn't relevant.
Also irrelevant.
Good job, Mr. NFL poster of the universe who cried about losing his mod spot.
LMFAO :lol:This isn't hockey.......
Coming from the guy who failed to respond to anything I said in the post. That's the best you can come up with?
Fail.
When the Lions drafted Stafford #1 overall and gave him like 72 mill.. he is their franchise QB.. nuff said.I think some of you are confusing the term Franchise and Elite QB.
A Franchise QB is the guy you choose to build your team around for the Future and there are quite a few in the league.
The Bears made Cutler a Franchise QB when they decided to bring Martz in to run that offense.
Palmer is one with the Bengals.
Rivers with the Chargers
Colts around Peyton
(not really ready to say that the Chiefs are built around Cassell. I think they gave too much money for him)
Cowboys choose to build around Tony Romo
Falcons around Ryan
Giants around Eli Manning.
the list just goes on of players that have the football team built arond them.
An elite QB is the group the few that set themselves far apart during the year. Using newer Metrics for 2010 the elite QBs were:
Brady
Manning
Rivers
Rodgers
Brees
Ryan
They set themselves above and beyond the rest of the QB field using the Defense-adjusted Yards Above Replacement stat which is supposed to be like a WAR or VORP type stat using baseball as a reference since the metric states are quite popular there.
