Yeah I think I read somewhere that Johnson wants be around for a while so he can work with the team through the rebuilding phase and make them better. Instead of just firing him after having one bad season. That's the only thing stalling the contract they said on Mlive, because he wants a 4 year deal at minimum not a 1 or 2 season deal. I agree though, sign someone long term and let them work with the team through this time.

They also said he wants a say in the roster. Because in Dallas he never got a say in what happened I guess.

That way he isn't just thrown players at him and have to work it all out.

I guess I wouldn't mind letting him have a little say in the roster? I don't know really.

I don't like Boozer at Center for us, BUT I like him and Kwame as expiring. I also like Avery being with us for that long and having a sya with the roster, that we we will see more changes. I'd like to see both happen. There is still a chance that Kwame could start at Center and Charlie be our 6th man< he could backup SF/PF/C he'd still get 30 minutes easily. But we better get Billy L as our HAC :p

I'd also like to see us get a 1st in that deal. I mean the Jizz would be a shit load better with Rip.

I don't like the idea of Charlie being our 6th man, they said he is most likely guaranteed to start. We need to let him start at PF and let him improve. If we did get Boozer and he played center it would be like 2004. Sheed 6'11'' at PF and Ben 6'9'' at center.

I like Boozer as our center actually. Might as well play some small ball lol.
But I wouldn't mind Charlie V off the bench either and Kwame starting.

And yeah giving Avery some say in the roster would only help.

But Ben is much more athletic and was the best defender in the league lol.
Size wise it's the same, but not really actually the same lol.

Haha yeah I guess so. If Kwame has improved this offseason and we got Boozer then I guess them 2 starting wouldn't be so bad. I don't know, there is a lot of things that could be done with this roster.

Even if Kwame didn't improve he'd only be playing like 22-26 minutes a game just like he would off the bench.

I'm predicting 18 points and 10 boards, HELL YAH!
But no, if he does start I think 12 and 10 is legit.

That is if he starts every game and starts continuously. You can't start him one game then not start him for a while he has to get in a groove and get comfortable.

Well I mean like last season. We started him for the first couple games then we took him out, put him back, took him out, etc. But that was also Curry so who knows.

Well at this point we would have no choice but to start him all 82 games.

Maybe Johnson will smack him upside the head and trigger the inner beast skills.
