If we don't re-sign Kidd this offseason will be VERY interesting for the Mavs
I hope we dont....... I want us soooooo badly to sign artest. But I dont think it will happen.

Terry-Howard-Artest-Dirk-Dampier

That looks very nice.

The next steps could be taken as soon as Wednesday with Ben Gordon and Charlie Villanueva atop the list of likely free-agent targets as shopping season opens.

Mavericks are in salary cap hell aren't they? The MLE isn't going to get Artest and maybe not even Charlie lol.

I hate Terry coming off the bench, he is a proven starter who should get more shots.

that's why I love him off the bench, his role is to come in and just score which is what he does best. He's not a playmaker, so him starting at PG I don't like.

Wasn't suppose to be a funny comment. It was more of a "I want to see what Maple says, tehe."

Theres also a Curry for T-Mac rumor thats resurfaced since Yao will be out most if not all the 2009-10 season.

The Rockets originally declined the deal, but are said to have called the Knicks back about it.

Make it Happen Donnie, even though Curry has been getting into shape and working hard this summer, we cant pass up a deal that would open up 20+mil in CAP room. Plus he wont fit D'Antoni's style of offense being he isnt an athletic bigman..

3 Max ccontracts come 2010?

lol, the Rockets won't trade T-Mac for Curry. You would think they can get someone who is actually effective and will play.

It would be Hughes and Curry

And we'll see if it happens or not...

I hope the Rockets aren't that stupid to help you guys out that much.

Rockets should know they aren't competing with or without Curry.

Them making the deal makes more sense then any of you think, they dont have ANY other big bodies aside from Yao, to think they would win more then 30 games with the team they have is crazy, they need to make moves.

And Curry and Hughes for T-Mac is a good move for them? Curry is never in shape, there are always these reports he is working out every summer, and Hughes is as often injured as T-Mac, yet 10x less effective.

But they have no chances even with him. Might as well keep the expiring right?

Yes it is.

Hughes will actually be able to start the season and play though, thats the difference. Which makes Hughes more effective at this point.

So what should they do cheato?

I havent read or heard any other rumors about TMac, they're not going to get anything better now that Yao is hurt, teams know they'll be desperate to move him so the offers will be much less lucrative.

Hughes expires after this season too

And Curry has a player option. He could opt out if Yao returns.

And it seems the Knicks were trying to take advantage of the Rockets even before Yao got hurt.. Because that deal doesn't help them.

Curry has a player option worth 10+ million, and if he opts out he won't get more then 5.. I think we all know what he'll do.
