Just been thinking about the upcoming draft. I don't see why Nets would draft a PG or SG. I mean I understand drafting the best player available but someone will be unhappy. I read several articles saying the Nets are interested in Holiday PG/SG and Flynn PG. I think if they are there at 11 that we draft them only to trade them. Nets have good guards in Harris, VC, Dooling and CDR came along well towards the end of the season.. I want him to get a shot at getting a lot of backup minutes at SG and SF if he's ready.

Nets should be looking for a forward to replace Hassell or Simmons at SF. Bringing in a talented guard like Holiday and Flynn and not playing them much would just make them a wasted pick like a Marcus Williams.. Unless Thorn plans on trading Harris or VC away which i dont think would happen. I'm more interested in swingman James Johnson (I think he should be our pick), Earl Clark (hometown guy) or even an undersized PF in Blair who will add toughness to our frontcourt.

Or how the Cavs will be a 20 win team once LeBron leaves the city of losers?

And go where? New Jersey? Pretty sure he wants to at least make the playoffs, couldn't do that in a <Censored> town like New Jersey.

Pretty sure that NJ isn't a town. We won 14 more games than most people predicted us to this year. Nets will be in the playoffs next year and the Cavs will fail again in the playoffs while LeBron is calling to Jay-Z (part owner of the Nets) saying "get me out of this city of losers!"

14 more games to not make the playoffs, congrats on a great accomplishment, I guess you can call that a success.

Some Knicks draft news:

Knicks president Donnie Walsh says that Hasheem Thabeet is the only prospect that he'd move up for in the NBA Draft.

New York has the eighth overall pick.

Thabeet, 7'3", is a polished shot-blocker, but is still working on other aspects of his game. The Knicks ranked last in blocked shots in each of the last two seasons.
I hate that this was even put out lol, I think Thabeet will be the bust of the draft, he's soft, weak, has no offensive game not as good a rebouder he should be b/c of his size. I think its best we let the Thunder make that mistake.

The Knicks have scheduled workouts with UCLA's Jrue Holiday and USC's DeMar DeRozan.

New York is expected to consider one of the two if they are available when NBA commissioner David Stern calls on them to use the eighth pick.

Stephen Curry has been linked to the Knicks, and general manager Donnie Walsh said on Saturday that he'd move up if he felt he could take Hasheem Thabeet
Idmuch rather us draft either Holiday or DeRozan over Curry, everyone says how DeRozan could be the pick that everyone said should have gone higher, Im still iffy on Holiday. But Like I say before Id love for us to trade down and pick Teague, he's going to be a steal or even Reke.

I just dint want a repeat of last year, there were rumors of us taking Gallo and I didnt want to hear it and it happened, this year its Curry.

My advice is to look at who your gut told you to go with last year, and ignore the gut feeling lol

Teague
DeRozan
Reke
Holiday
Maynor
Flynn

I hope to get one of those guys

I'm not seeing all the hype on Jennings, the guy didn't do too good in the Euroleague, but give him time he could turn out to be something...but he needs time I think.

He didnt get a lot of playing time and he was playing for a top squad who changed coaches and playing style in the season. If anything i feel he will be able to handle the pro game pretty well.

Patrick Mills needs to get drafted to a contendor. Jawai and Bogut are just boring the crap outta me over here.

LAL better take him, cos he could actually take over a significant PG role on that roster.

Here is what I have gathered so far after week 1.

Sacramento might not be screwed after all. Memphis and okc may both pass on rubio.

Tyreke and James Harden may have top 5 promises. Especially harden.

Curry to NY is pretty much a lock at this point.

Nick Calathes took the easy way out.

Jrue Holiday and Austin daye have improved their stock the most.

Jonny Flynn stock is really high. And ty lawson's stock is dropping badly.

Alan Hahn writes that the Knicks may be leaning toward drafting Jrue Holiday of UCLA over Stephen Curry of Davidson with the 8th pick in this month's NBA draft.

Hahn states that he has "a feeling Holiday's potential has the Knicks more enamored right now than Curry."

Via Newsday
I hope Hahn is right, Im not big on Holiday either, but I feel his cieling is alot higher then Curry's. The more I think about it the more I like Tyreke Evans, I also read he's willing to work out against anyone and nobody has stepped up to the challenge....

Tyreke is the most gifted one on one player I have seen in a while.

They say he wanted DeRozan and Harden but niether has stepped up, but Im reading an article now and I think we're going to pick Holiday of he's there.

June 9th we're holding our point guard battle royale where Holiday will face off against Curry, Flynn, and Lawson, I think that will determine our pick.

Battle royale? Are they going to work out together or something?
