KG weighs like 215 and he's done alright for himself on both ends of the floor throughout his career.

That was early in his career. He's about 255, now. I personally think that Davis, like Garnett, is more muscular than he looks, but he looks awfully thin out there, overall.

Also, I think Tyson Chandler played for years around 235 and he's defended the 5 very well.

Davis being so skinny really didn't have the effect that people thought it would. He maybe had trouble defending the post against the stronger post players, but he did fine everywhere else. He was excellent offensively in the paint, and should only be better with the added weight.

I was never that impressed with him until Dallas' championship year, to be honest, and I think he's become rather overrated. There's a reason Hibbert had his way with Chandler in the playoffs, and we're still hesitant to call Hibbert a top flight big.

Also, for the AD/Chandler comparisons--there's a big difference between barely 6'10 (didn't he actually measure in about 6'9?) and nearly 7'2, don't you think?

Anthony Davis is a legit 6'11, maybe closer to 7 ft now.

That hasn't stopped everyone from comparing Davis to Drummond.

I think that, even though we're in this top 5 players discussion, we're all thinking of these two players at the center position, and as Andre Drummond clearly has a body more suited to that position, that's what's igniting these arguments.

I don't really know if the term "better" is the right word. We focus too much on that, imo, because there are a lot of players who are really close. We can say that the best player in this league is decided, because it is, and the same goes for second best player, but after that aren't we kind of beating a dead horse? Would it not be fair to say that only LeBron and Durant have separated themselves from the pack?

I know we're not talking about those two, but I'm trying to make a comparison.

no one is saying he's going to be better, or even think he can truly be a top 3 player. its just hilarious that you talk down on another persons beliefs about their star player. yet we have to agree with you on your thoughts or we're all wrong.

its funny because youve been in this same argument multiple times in the nba and nfl..
Money.

My two cents though, if you watched the positive impact the team had with Drummond on the floor, it would be very idiotic to say he can't be just as good down the road as Davis. And believe me, I like Davis a lot. But nothing tells me Drummond won't be up there too.
