Which one of those guys has won the MVP
no, you did kind of pretty much lean that way lolCameronCrazy06 said:Not what I said, literally at all
That would be what you call a "straw man fallacy"
nolafan33 said:Then what did you say? Maybe if you think about it you will realize it's irrelevant that he won the MVP.
I'm done arguing about this though, it's clear as day that you're just trolling, like Rob said earlier. But whatever, don't expect any less.
no where in that post of yours had that message in it.CameronCrazy06 said:
My point was that no loss the Pelicans go through hurts them more than the Thunder losing Durant.
You took that as "if you haven't won MVP, you won't be missed when you're out". Reading comprehension. You emphasized this yesterday. Practice what you preach.
i was just saying that. he's a decent help side guy but his blocks don't change the pace of the game enough. he's not a good man defender either.nolafan33 said:He's also a pretty poor post defender, kind of surprised at that.

im on the fence about how his offense will be. he does demand the ball a lot more and looks a bit more fluid with the ball, but still robotic. i have a feeling he's just going to be a good garbage man. we have the right coach to help him though.

That's an idiotic argument. So many more perimeters matter past just losing Durant or anyone else, especially this late in the season where every game could be like a "win or go home" matchup.
But even if you want to be that simple minded, it's still not true. Anytime KD or AD are on the floor their teams are playoff caliber, and I'm talking top seeds. When they go to the bench though, OKC is one of those teams that you see every season that are "fighting" for a playoff spot but you know have no real shot (like a Phoenix this year), but when AD goes to the bench the Pelicans become a team that would literally be "fighting" with Minnesota and New York for the 1st pick in the draft. Obviously that's more dramatic than it actually is considering the guys we haven't had like Jrue and Ryno, but the point is made.
i think it's easier for little guys to play bigger than it is for some guys to play big. i think a lot of it has to do with him being so giving on the pump fake and foul happy.nolafan33 said:
Honestly when I watch one of his biggest problems is he just seems like he's not strong enough. That sounds weird to me since he's 7 ft 280 lbs but he surrenders deep post position to often and even struggles when getting directly backed down. He also doesn't do a good job at just making himself big in the post.
