Some of the lobs he catches are unreal. Like the ones where he's facing away from the basket when he catches it and reverse jams it. Not many people can make that play

And also he can go higher than most to catch them

Listen I said id take Gobert but give Jordan credit

What was that Barkley quote on DJ about locking him in a gym or something? Shit was hilarious.

I can't wait to hear this
With the loss of Ibaka that team has no interior presence defensively. You can't even look and say they have any average interior defenders left, the guys they will have to rely on are all below average. Say KD comes back in about a week, they'll have 11 games remaining and 8 of those matchups will be against teams that are above average teams at scoring in the paint. 5 of the 11 against teams that are top 8 in the league. They're going to really struggle defending not only the rim in general but the paint as well. They're also not going to block shots and will commit more fouls than they have on the season.

Just last night, Boston, a team that is in the bottom half of the league at scoring in the paint scored 48 points in the paint in their game, that's more than Memphis averages and they lead the league at 46.9 points per. Those teams are going to really attack OKC.

Something about you could lock him in a gym and tell him he can't dunk and he would have X amount of points

How is that not a reason people would expect?

You set that post up like OKC was going to be worse off with KD back.

DeAndre Jordan, this is Stephen A. Smith. Kevin Love said you'd say hi.

So what I laid out in that post was what you were expecting exactly when you replied to my original post? You are lying out of your ass if you say yes.

And I don't have the first clue how you could think I set up that post like that. If so you greatly need to work on your reading comprehension. I even said that OKC is the "clear favorite," I mean it doesn't get anymore clear than that.

But I will say, and I've made this point 1,000 times, sure W/L is the final determining factor but never has a win or a loss truly indicated how well or how poorly a team played, and it never will. That's why it's so important to watch the games and do the research, I can count numerous games where the Pelicans played better in a loss than in a win. I say that because I think some of that may take place with OKC in some ways. Most will probably expect them to take off when KD comes back and that's likely not to happen, for a variety of different reasons. But they will still be a better team and play better than they did last night and will moving forward, it's just the matchups will make it look like an internal struggle and it will be looked at as Westbrook vs Durant.

Exactly what they've been doing, though schedule gets a little tougher and matchups not as favorable soon.

Their interior right now is Kanter, Adams, and McGary. Who wouldn't expect them to struggle to protect the rim? Quit acting like you're some basketball messiah. You're wrong more than you're right.

I wasn't expecting you to talk about that because you laid out your original post as a hint that Durant coming back is going to hurt them.

I went back and watched some of Gobert and Jordan last night, Gobert is definitely the better post defender. Not leaps and bounds better but enough to where it's noticeable. He forces more bad looks, fouls considerably less, is really good at creating turns in the post, I'd say he's in the top 80 percentile in the league while Jordan is top 65 or so.
