Theres 2 players in this league that I wish had star teammates. Demarcus Cousins and Anthony Davis.

Omg imagine both of them on the same team.....

Brb gotta go make this happen on 2k!

Not sure Boogie would allow anyone else on his team to be a star

Dre is better offensively and is just as good of a rebounder. Gobert is the better shot blocker, but Jordan's low post defense is better imo

Gobert is a great shot blocker, but I think he's getting a little overrated now

The Pelicans should trade for Kenneth Faried. You guys think he would be a good fit on that team?

Is he better offensively or does he have Chris Paul? I mean we know you cant throw the ball to DeAndre and ask him to get you two, likely won't happen.

The big sticking point for me is the paint defense, I've been saying this for years but DeAndre is VASTLY overrated in that respect, I'd struggle to even call him average. Here are some guys that defend at the ram better than Jordan. Amare Stoudemire, Marcin Gortat, Cody Zeller, DeMarcus Cousins, and Jonas Valanciunas. That's just some. Meanwhile Gobert leads the league at 38.9%. He was good last season as well at 41.2%. If also look at the foul rate relative to the block rate.

Rebounding, both are good rebounders but I would say Gobert battles more. Jordan pulls down about 45% of contested rebounds, Gobert about 48%. Both improve their teams when on the court rebounding wise.

Can't really speak on the post defense, but post offense is becoming a lost art form in the league. How many scary offensive post players are there left? Very few, you don't face one every night. Maybe not even weekly. So I'm not sure how much that holds up. But I am interested to go back and see which guy is better via the eye test.

you know who is overrated? sucks to say but drummond. obviously he's a great offensive rebounder and that's HUGE but im really hoping he starts to show a more rounded offensive game. he gets a lot of defensive love too, and he shouldn't. decent weakside defender, still gets too happy and gets pump faked a lot.

he's getting to the age where he is what he is. im not hating, just want more from him. we need to max him but his real value may not be worth that.

He's developing offensively. He looks way more comfortable now than he did earlier this year for sure.

Agree bout his defense.

i do really like how he demands the ball now download but he's still pretty robotic looking. i have no doubt that he can put in the work and develop better but experience is creeping up on him and it may not happen. like i said, he's still our franchise player.

Don't think he will ever become a super polished post player. But I think around 17 and how ever many boards is right about where he will be in his prime. Maybe hit 20 one year. With better defense.

Shoutout to JoeD for taking DJ White and trading him for garbage instead of just drafting Deandre Jordan when we had a glaring need for a center.

Yeah but he wasn't projected till later, which was where we picked.
It would've made too much sense to draft him.

i really hated that we skipped him. terrible. in hindsight i guess it's not too bad. would have probably been able to have him start right away and he may be a different player right now, though.
