The hornets would've gotten Kevin Martin, Scola, Odom, and Goran Dragic.

That's not a bad haul
no one anticipated Dragic becoming what he is, or thinking he had that potentail. Yes, it was a horrible haul at conceptipn, which is all that matters

The Clippers deal made them horrible and not mediocre, which is the point of a rebuild

Question for russ

Will seeding matter for mvp
Will games missed matter
Will kd take away some of those numbers
If anything games missed helps his case..

That first deal is not bad considering what Dell was trying to do. I don't get why that's hard to understand. Not to mention they were likely to move Odom for someone like Iggy. He was trying to keep his job, though I guess he could have taken the Hinkie approach and just collected picks and not actually accomplish anything.

Javale could play 20mpg for us lol

He's easily our best shot blocker now.

Zeller-McGee
Olynyk-Bass-Jerebko
Turner-Crowder
Bradley-Young
Smart-Thomas

Not bad

That's not the point. The lakers trade easily could have given them less if that's what they wanted lol. The clippers deal all along was supposed to give them Bledsoe but then it didn't. The clippers trade was far worse talent-wise and it's not even debateable. To be honest I didn't even remember Dragic was going to be involved. But the bottom line is the lakers got screwed by the NBA there, no question.

Its really a shame the NBA didn't let them build their team around Luis Scola and Kevin Martin, and gunning for that 8th seed.

The Lakers centered a trade for Chris Paul around Pau Gasol. The NBA didn't screw them

Because centering a trade around Eric Gordon is much better right

Considering he was 22 or 23 years old coming off a 22 PPG season, yes, significantly.

They don't have the one star player to jump out at you but they have a nice core.
I wouldn't call it nice because they don't have that one player. And how do they get him? They aren't a bad enough team to contend for a top 2 pick anymore.

I'm just saying. The lakers deal was way better. They wouldn't have made the playoffs either. It's not like the NBA wouldn't have still rigged the lottery for them

They have trade pieces if they need to. Not that their value is extremely high but either Burke or Burks probably gets dealt in the offseason

That's a possibility. I wouldn't move Burks, and I don't think Trey Burke would net anything in trade. He'd have to be a throw in. Hayward though? I don't know just how competitive of an offer they could throw out there though.
