Rip, look at Amir, you want us to get another player who will get all the help like him? LOL, we need a player who is raw, but still good enough to go in and get 3 or 4ppg and still play D. I think Earl fits that's better then anyone, plus we needed a backup SF for quite some time and we have options to get bigs in FAcy..
Amir was taken out of highschool, late in the 2nd round..... Not expecting much.
I'm pretty sure anyone in the top 15 can put up 4 points and play solid defense....

You can get Gordon and Marion for 19 Mill, the rest can divide the remaining mill between themselves

Dumars has A LOT of work to do. But he has the tools with Sheed and AI gone.

I have to see what he does during the draft. his pick will set everything else I think.
I think you guys are dumb for giving hamilton an extension though. if your gonna rebuild, do it all the way

Dumars doesn't want to rebuild, he wants to "re-tool" :(

Extending Rip will only hurt us, his attitude is poor and now he has a longer more expensive deal and he's a system player who doesn't match up with our "future" Point Guard.

Part of me thinks we will be back to a top 5 team and only moving forward, but another part thinks Dumars may blow this offseason and could mess our team up for years.

this is the wrong season to have cap room. Dumars messed that up. it's all about 2010

but i agree with what you say about rip. that deal is gonna handicap you

It really depends on who they sign and who they trade for. It seems like they have given up on Bosh in 2010

Bosh isn't the answer, I'd rather have a defensive/rebounding minded Center but one who can still score around 16ppg and a Shooting Guard who matches Stuckey. After that then we go looking for a Power Forward.

Curry will be coach for the rest of his contract, unless we do have a good offseason and we just aren't clicking in the middle of next season. We should have tried with Laimbeer, Avery or even JVG. Hell back when we almost fired Flip(a season before we did) we should have signed SVG.

After thinking about it, I don't think that everything was Curry's fault. I mean look at the situation he was presented with. He had a star player who always wants the ball come into a team that plays team ball within the first couple weeks of the season. It was a learning process for him. If Dumars trades and signs everyone and does everything during this offseason I think we will be fine, because we will have the preseason to work with. Instead of last year where he waited to pull a deal during the opening of the season.

Curry is simply a replacement coach.

He is going to establish a roster, then get a real coach in here.

When is his contract up? Wasn't it for 2 years? Or 3?

It was for 3, so he has 2 more years left.

He will stay here this full year, and maybe next year.
Hell maybe he is here for real and can make our team legit.

If not, he is done after this season even with the 1 year left.

It would be nice to have our team legit again. Whether it`s next season, or the season after that, just as long as it`s soon. I mean, we did have an off-year, but not completly off because we still managed to make the playoffs. Granted, narrowly, and also because the lower-half of the East is weak, but we still made it. So, we are expected to have a missing the playoffs off year. Which will be very difficult playing in the East.

Yeah, I agree with you Rip. The door is wide open for him this year.
