The Revival Requests Release From WWE Contract
The Revival are two-time NXT Tag Team Champions, but they haven’t been given much of a focus at all on the WWE main roster. The team was plagued with injuries to start off their main roster run, but once they returned to television they found themselves feuding with the Lucha House Party instead.
This week on RAW, The Revival competed against The Lucha House Party yet again weeks after Vince McMahon’s promise of a New Era in WWE. This could have been the last straw for Dash Wilder and Scott Dawson.
Rumors popped up online today about The Revival’s WWE status. Bodyslam.net asked around about them and reports that The Revival have asked for their WWE release.
This isn’t a huge surprise, but it might also make us wonder where they could be heading next. The Elite did use #FTR for a long time on Being The Elite and fans have often wondered what The Young Bucks vs The Revival would be like.
You never know what will happen next because WWE might not even grant their release. They held onto Neville forever before finally letting him go. We will let you know as soon as we hear anything else in this ongoing situation.
There's plenty of examples of NXT tag teams who flopped, and quickly, on the main roster. The Ascension, American Alpha, The Revival, Vaudevillians, etc. They don't know how to handle them.Teagz said:The Revival might be the most overrated thing to ever come out of NXT. Cool gimmick, fine workers, but their look kinda sucks especially the bald one.
Vince dont and never has cared about tag team wrestling. if its not booked like new day or the shield he doesnt know how to market them for money. hhh loves organic, real tag team wrestling. it all goes back to him being a true fan and vince losing his touchCameronCrazy06 said:There's plenty of examples of NXT tag teams who flopped, and quickly, on the main roster. Plus I guess there's an argument that if they're already relegated to a second tier division in NXT, they probably don't have much longevity to begin with.

Excited to see Hans Zaggler on AEWFather Pugzo said:PWInsider has heard conflicting reports that Dolph Ziggler has asked for his WWE release. Some sources have denied he has asked for it while others have said he'll be released on January 31st.
If true Ziggler has joined The Revival, Mike Bennett and Maria Kanellis in asking for their releases.
