I'd say it's JH5 tries like 25% of the time. But who knows a change of scenery might help.

As a Mavs fan I'd rather do the Butler one. I think Butler brings more to the table than Rip
The Wizards have offered Caron Butler and DeShawn Stevenson to the Mavericks for Josh Howard and a small expiring contract.

According to sources, the deal was getting close but Dallas owner Mark Cuban decided he wanted to continue shopping for other options.

I do want Butler though. I think he'd fit in great with our team.

Dampier/Gooden - Dirk - Marion - Butler - Kidd with JET back at 6th man

Stevenson is a complete scrub. Honestly he's one of the worst players in the league.

He does suck though, he played for a contract, got a nice one and now is equally bad at every facet of basketball.

Word came out yesterday that the Kings have interest in Pacers forward Troy Murphy. There are also a lot of teams that covet Kevin Martin. Could the Kings be one of the more active teams at the trade deadline?

Here's what Ailene Voisin of The Sacramento Bee thinks: "Possibly, but don't expect a blockbuster. Geoff Petrie has no intention of swapping one of his premier assets (Kevin Martin) for someone else's garbage, and thus far, he has been underwhelmed by offers. He is more likely to move someone like Kenny Thomas and his expiring contract or Andres Nocioni and his hefty deal, particularly given the congestion at small forward."

Trade talks between the Mavericks and Wizards centered around Caron Butler are now including Brendan Haywood, according to sources.

Since Butler and Haywood would immediately become key rotation players, the Mavericks have renewed interest in doing a deal.

Josh Howard and several cap friendly contract would be sent to Washington.

The Wizards, according to sources, would still rather make the smaller deal with Dallas, which would send Butler and DeShawn Stevenson for Howard and a small expiring contract such as James Singleton or Quinton Ross.

One source said that the Wizards, who continue to talk trades with the Houston Rockets, Portland Trail Blazers and other teams, are reluctant to part with Haywood as the deal is currently structured.

The Wizards would like Rodrigue Beaubois included in return, but the Mavericks have all but made him an untouchable.

I really hope we get Butler before the deadline and Haywood would add to the much needed depth we need at the C position. Maybe we can add like a 1st round pick to sweeten the deal for the Wizards.

no way to the 1st round pick idea. We barely have any 1sts the last decade, and we don't have one this year.

Just give them an expiring like Carroll or something

Just filed to ESPN.com: Mavs-Wiz trade talks have only gotten more serious this afternoon. Many sources say sides closing in on a deal 4 minutes ago from web

The source indicated that the talks were increasing and described the situation as being close to a deal. However, both sides have been talking to other teams, as well and could be using this to stoke the conversation with other clubs.
GET IT DONE!!!!

I'm 100% for it as long as Beaubois is not involved
