I've been up on him for a very long time. He's still being underrated though.
I even had him going #6 to the Pels at one time.
-He said he believes the Cavs will take either Len or McLemore. He said Len's guards at Maryland didn't do a good job of getting him the ball. McLemore has had the whole agent fiasco issue but that he is a good kid who came from nothing.
-He said he doesn't believe the Paul Pierce talk is legit but when it comes to Shawn Marion he said "where there is smoke there is fire". He said the Cavs will look to make a move on draft day.
-He believes Andy will be a Cav after draft day but that they may look to trade him this year. He says the Cavs have been after LaMarcus Aldridge for a couple of years now but the Blazers are looking to put a Center next to him. There are also whispers going around that Aldridge may look to get out of Portland.
-He said Dan Gilbert has full trust and faith in Chris Grant. He said Grant has done a great job with these last couple of drafts/trades. While the talent hasn't been great, he has gotten good players.
I'm not sure if Noel is even more versatile. One of the biggest reasons I want Len on the Pelicans is because he's a 7 footer who can not only defend the post but can also defend the pick and roll. Name two current 7 footers in the NBA who can do both of those things. The answer is there is none. The closest I can think of is Tyson Chandler but him being a good post defender is a myth. Putting that next to Anthony Davis who is also about as close to 7 feet as you can get without actually being it and is able to defend the post and pick and roll would be invaluable. Noel is essentially a 7 footer, but if you watched him in college he can't defend the post. He's weak and has poor footwork.elcheato said:Just to play devils advocate on the offense (even though I'm a fan). He was absolutely horrible in post-up situations. Has the tools, but needs serious work on the low block.
Noel has better instincts on defense, more versatile, better shot blocker and can even get in the passing lanes.
Len is superior offensively, but Noel can impact the game more defenisvely, even with his slight frame.
