Burke did work out for the Pistons. Shabazz works out next week on Monday.

Anyone watch those "Full NBA Job Interviews" with Jalen Rose and Bill Simmons?

Cool stuff. Watched Burke and McCollum so far. Though I still don't want to draft him, McCollum really impressed me in that interview. Good speaker, and you can tell he is a very intelligent kid.

I don't understand why you wouldn't want to draft him.  I think he and Knight would make an excellent duo in the backcourt.  Maybe not both as starters but those two guys could still play long minutes together and be a nightmare to guard.  Either than control the ball and you can have another ball handler on the court at the same time playing off the ball just as much as he plays on it.  Running from baseline to baseline, or from wing to wing, setting screens, coming off screens, spotting up in the corner.  And when he does get the ball on the wing you then have a lethal pick and roll ball handler in the mold of a Steph Curry who can pull up behind the 3pt line, from mid range, or get into the paint and score or find your bigs like Monroe and Drummond or find Knight who is spotting up behind the 3pt line.  Think of the Spurs.  Think of McCollum as your Tony Parker, playing off the ball almost as much as he plays on it and when he does have the ball in his hands he's lethal.  Think of Knight as Danny Green or Gary Neal controlling the ball when it isn't in McCollum's hands or spotting up like Green and Neal do for the Spurs.  He'd be even better than those two as well because he would have the ability to put it on the floor as well.

@FletcherMackel: don't be surprised if Pelicans acquire 13th pk from Mavs, select Giannis Adetokunbo. NOLA also gets Shawn Marion, send Mavs future pk

Because I have no desire to have another combo guard on this team. Simple as that.
Either you decide you want Knight to run the team completely, or you get a more true PG to do it.

Then you need to get with the times and see the NBA is evolving. Positions dont exist anymore. You dont see teams with their true PG, and their true SG, and so on. Its all about matchups now. We just saw a Finals where both teams ran three guard lineups for the majority of the game, sometimes even four wings and one big. It's the new game. Combo guards playing together, SF's who can play PF, and PF's who can play C. Aside from Chris Paul and maybe Mike Conley nobody has that one true point guard who controls the ball anymore. you need two primary ball handlers now, two combo guards or heck even a point forward. Even Kawhi Leonard initiated the offense for SA on some possessions. Not to mention you keep talking about the team but fail to mention that the only player who is guaranteed past this season is Singler. Everyone else is either expired or has a option. And the only guard you have left with even a option is Brandon Knight. That's it, just one guard even semi guaranteed. So I don't get where this "I don't want another combo guard" is coming from.

Well like I said, you have one player under contract past this season. And just one guard with a option past this season.

Stuckey and English expire after this season, and Calderon and Bynum expired this past season.

As far as I'm concerned y'all should just go BPA, you have the holes for it.

we also have the cap space to not want to do that.

I really don't think you should pass up a better player because you MAY sign someone in FA.

Cody Zeller would be an excellent fit next to Drummond in the front court, honestly. Drummond would hide some of Zeller's difficency's defensively and that'd be a hell of a lot of athletcism at PF and C, not many teams could match it. Not to mention they're both 7 footers to go with that. In the current trend of going small, who the hell could guard these dudes on the court at the same time?

Going purely off what I remember watching, I don't think it'd be a problem for Zeller to guard quicker, smaller 4s either, and he isn't going to be overmatched or overpowered by many 4's in the league. Drummond can get out on the quicker dudes too. Could switch almost everything.

Yep.  Not to mention a stretch 4 would do them good.

Honestly both McCollum and Zeller would be good fits.

Zeller is becoming so underrated because of the tourney and a pre convinced notion that he's soft.

I've said it and ill say it again. Someone is going to get a really good pro in him late in the lotto.

i like him more than gmoe because he already gives us what gmoe needs to develop into. but with gmoe we won't take him unless we deal greg at the draft to fill another need, which im fine with.
