Chad Ford released his tier column today and didn't have a single player in the first or second tier.

This draft isn't that bad, man.

People are just running with this worst draft ever theme and sensationalizing it.

I don't think it's nearly as bad as the draft 2 years ago.

Outside of Kyrie and TT that top 10 was pretty weak.

I think you could argue no first or second tier prospects is fair.

If you look back at the Kyrie draft, it's actually shaping out quite nicely

There's a lot of guys who went in the 2nd half of the 1st (Kawhi, Shumpert, Butler, Faried, Harris) who are contributors but the top was weak.

Kyrie is perennial All-Star.
Williams was horrible pick. Bust.
The jury's still out on Kanter. We haven't seen enough of him yet.
TT is coming along nicely.
Jonas - see Kanter
Vesely's a bust.
Bismack too.
Knight seems destined to be a team's 6-8th man.
Kemba has potential.
And then there's Jimmer.

So the top 10 has 1 all star, 3 solid contributors, 2 yet to be determined, and 4 busts. I could see this class being this good (minus the all star) 2 years down the line.

A lot is still yet to be determined tho.

Supposedly Orlando is now taking a hard look at Burke second overall.

Would be a short sighted and foolished "need" pick.

Marcus Smart and Andrew Harrison are better PG prospects, they'll be available next year. But if they get top 4 next year they shouldn't even consider a PG over Wiggins, Randle, Gordon & Parker.

I don't know if there is any precedent on this, but the Cavs are about to have four top 5 picks on their roster, with the oldest one being 22 (TT).

If you want to get more specific, they're all top 4 picks.

Last time a team had Top 4 picks for 3 years in a row, would be OKC (Durant, Westbrook, Harden)

I agree they need to just wait it out a year & get Smart or Harrison if they want a PG.

The Cavs really need to put it together this year though.  If they don't they'll just be another Sacramento or something.
