man, the giants are on the verge of lucking the F out

as of now, it looks like the Giants win the west and the braves are going to win the WC

The Giants are going to be 2 games up going into a weekend series in SF vs the Pads, assuming the Pads win tonight
The Braves are in Philly taking on the Phils

the Phils could pretty much pick who they want to play. They will end up playing the Reds or Padres if the Pads get the WC

so IDK what I want
the Giants to play the Reds or Braves in rd 1. I guess the Reds since the Braves suck
or better yet, have the Pads sweep them this weekend and then having SF either miss the playoffs or play the Phils in round 1 :)

Girardi, post-game 9/29/10:

"When you manage a team like the New York Yankees, you know that settling for anything but the best is simply not an option. I think my actions all along prove that we have had the division title on our minds the entire time. You definitely want your best on the mound in these final, crucial games. It is an unbelievable luxury to be able to start one of what I like to call "the five aces" in Javy, who has a great future ahead of him in this league. This is the major leagues, and sometimes players are gonna get lucky and be able to catch up to 86 MPH heat placed directly over the plate. Javy will be a hot commodity in the offseason, and teams will remember performances such as these when they make their evaluations."

Essentially, Girardi is retarded and is supporting Javy Vazquez.

it sounds pretty sarcastic lol

i dont know what the F happened to Javy.
he was great last year. yeah NL, but it's more than that. He went from great to horrible
you can argue the AL is the better league, though not by much anymore, but it's not that awful that going to the AL will kill you like it has Javy

Snider finally showing his true potential. Jays have made Target field look small.

I give up
we are in the twilight zone lol
im beginning to think this isnt a fluke. pitchers would have adjusted by now right?
maybe not 50 from now on, but 30+ a year is excellent

The thing about him is he's so patient. Pitchers have been throwing him a lot of breaking balls but he just waits for the fastball. He won't hit 50 next year but 30 is good enough.

Why the heck is Conrad batting 5th for the Braves? Bobby Cox is outta his mind.

If the Padres and Braves win tomorrow, there would be a 3 way tie for the Wild Card. The Padres and Giants would play a one game playoff for the Division title, then the loser would play the Braves for the Wild Card.

That would be mad funny. A 3-way tie for a playoff position is intense.

Choo ends the year with a .300 avg, .401 OBP, 22 homers, 90 RBIs, 20 steals, 13 outfield assists (most in MLB).

Choo's a monster.

Still funny that in fantasy baseball people were taking Markakis like 5-6 rounds ahead of Choo when Choo was putting out much better numbers.

Well they are very similar. But for some reason Markakis has only like 10 homers this year.

Cool to see the jays win 85 games this season and prove the experts wrong. It was fun watching the young pitching staff and Bautista :D. We just need a couple of on base people with speed and the jays are right in the mix.

Although "Yankees" and "wildcard" don't resonate, "Yankees" and "world champions" does.
