What assets does Denver have? They have their own pick, Mudiay, and a promising Barton. What else? (and don't dare say gallo, because he's not an asset; he's a very good player that is more than just an asset)

nurkic, jokic, lauvergne, picks, mudiay, barton, gary harris

Thats a lot

And even if not assets(subjective) guys like gallo, faried, chandler could be in a big trade(altho yes, wilson is hurt)

Anyway, Rondo, who likes it in Sacramento, was asked about what will factor into his upcoming decision.

(The) coach. And style of play. The biggest thing for me is the style of play, he replied before the game. I wouldnt want to go to a system where I dont really have the ball in my hands and they have you stand in the corner and shoot 3s. Thats not my style of play. The style of play is the biggest thing, and then obviously personnel on the court and coaches.

At this point, it doesnt appear hes going to join the crosstown rival New York Knicks, who are in need of a point guard themselves.

The triangles not really a good look for me, I dont think, Rondo said.

I thought it was strange to hear a guy talk so candidly about impending free agency, even if rondo didn't exactly say anything crazy. I mean it's pretty obvious you look for a fit and not a team asking you to shoot 3s of youre him. Still, cool to hear it.

Maybe this ties in somehow

The Knicks have a real chance to sell Oklahoma City's Russell Westbrook in 2017New York and (forward Kristaps) Porzingis have his attention, yesand (team president Phil) Jackson ought to start constructing an elite coaching staff to begin that process with Westbrook and with free agents beyond him.

The Atlanta Hawks have considered trading either Al Horford and Jeff Teague, holding preliminary talks with teams.

The Hawks, however, have had sky-high asking prices for both players, making a deal unlikely until deadline day.

Horford will be an unrestricted free agent this offseason, while Teague will be a free agent in 2017.

The Hawks are considering a significant retooling of their roster as they consider themselves fringe contenders.

The Miami Heat are gauging the trade value of Hassan Whiteside.

The Heat could use Whiteside to help dump salary and/or acquire talent in return.

Whiteside will be a free agent in the offseason and the Heat don't own his full Bird rights.

Whiteside has been a productive player for the Heat, but they could be better with Chris Bosh playing at center. Whiteside has also had issues with his maturity.

They won't get great value, but they'll move him

Even something Whiteside for RJ Hunter+BOS 1st would be fine for Miami. He's leaving in FA, so get something in future value while you can
(note: I don't want whiteside in boston; that's just how I approximated the value)

i agree because the same can almost be said for bj. i doubt we even try to re-sign him and he'd be a fool to want come back here. i expect him to walk and we get nothing.

They wouldn't ever do that.

They're in the playoff hunt. They're not going to consider trading Whiteside for guys I've never heard of and virtually worthless draft picks just because he's a free agent at the end of the year.
