I honestly don't care about the name change. But let's be honest bosox, we don't troll new members like we troll the people that we've been talking to here for years. When you say "most people dislike your guys' trolling", everybody here trolls other members (including you, so let's not act like you're some good guy in this situation), so if there's people that dislike it but still do it, can you really say they dislike it?

We're a community that has been around for a long time. A lot of us are friends and know each other well enough not to take shit personally like that. I don't think anybody here wants a board that we can't interact with each other on a human level and only share our opinions on the given topic. But then again, that sounds exactly what a place with a name as boring as "The Sports Forum" would be like.

if we have a name change its so our name would appear during google/yahoo/bing/whatever search engine someone uses when they search for "sports forum", "forum" or even "sports" right now we're on like page eight for that.

since none of us recruit because we all gave up forum jumping a while ago because of what cc alluded too, we've been here for years, we need to try other methods to gain new members.

Like I said, I don't really care if the name changes. But bosox is butthurt if he thinks that our closely knit community is the reason why we don't get new members.

I personally think naming it to something generic like "sports forum" isn't gonna give you significantly more traffic.

The biggest reason why we don't gain any new members is because we're a standalone forum. Usually how it works is that you have a main site with some actual content that people want to read, then they discuss it in the forum.

Get the main page running, rebrand it to Sports Insomnia for all I care for some proper spelling and get rid of the "sportzin" name which makes no sense to new people.

What in the blue hell happened. The landscape, the complexion of Sportzin has been drastically changed!

You're welcome everyone, for me prying it out of bosox

I'm getting pretty excited about what the Pels could be getting in return for Ryan Anderson.

Nothing has changed yet. Nothing is official or in stone. Ideas were brought up in the staff forum so shaggy could get the opinions of the staff.

Now that this is out, we might just start up a topic bringing 6ou all up to speed on the ideas Shaggy has, and get the opinions of the entire site.

P.S. I told him you guys wouldn't like that name, ha.
