For sure. ECF or bust in my eyes. But finals the first year shouldnt be expected, even tho we never know what might happen.
Why "first year"? They made the ECF last year, Kyrie or not. They added an All-Star and basically leveled up IT.
Their goal has to be to knock out Cleveland, not just keep it close.

Goal is for sure to knock out the Cavs. Just saying if they dont, cant look at kyries first season there as a failure

Celtics are the Eastern Conference favorites at this point. Brad Stevens is on the hot seat, according to my sources

Don't know, Isaiah has been shat on plenty and being called unworthy of a max, and he led them to a 1 seed and the CF.
If Kyrie is as good as you say, why shouldn't it be a failure?

I'm just hot taking though

I said if they dont knock out the cavs its not a failure. If he doesnt take em to the ecf, its a failure. Ecf or bust

Cant rememeber if D Lee opted out, but if hes a FA that would be a nice pick up too

Love his hustle and rebounding

Celtics do need anoter body in the frontcourt tho. One injury to Al or Morris and theyre extremely thin there

Splitter should take the min and sign there

What other cheap FAs are there left?
they signed baynes

Thats a bit too much to expect Finals in the first year after only Al is left from the starting 5 that went to the ECF last year. Not to mention Jaylen and Tatum being so young since one of them will have to start at the 2. Not surprised you said Finals because its you, but ECF the first year would be a success in my eyes
Who said I expected the finals? I don't. I think they'll lose in 5 or 6 to Cleveland

Bnc will be ded
He's gonna have to play a hell of a lot better than he did in these playoffs to get them over the hump

To the question you asked, yea
So the only way he can prove to you that he can lead a team is if he makes the finals this first season?

So if its losing to Cavs in 5 or 6, then he failed?

This isn't binary, this can be viewed as neither a success nor a failure

Youre setting up huge standards for a guy who is about to lead a good team for the first time in his career

What standards? I'm expecting them to reach the conference finals, something they achieved last year and then got better
