I gotta say man, as much as i hate the Celtics, actually am super excited for Kyrie playing there. Wanted him to be in New york because its New York and it would be his team, but Boston isnt bad either and plus he has p good teammates right away to start doing big things while he prolly would have had to wait a few years in New York to get some more talent around him. This is really good. He can prove the haters wrong in his first season without Lebron, cant wait.

Looking right at you bnc

@bnc lets get this straight right away

How far does Kyrie have to get the celtics this season in the first season without lebron for you to give him credit for being able to lead a team?

The Finals. The East is awful outside of these two team, this team added Gordon Hayward on top of what they had last year, Kyrie for Isaiah is basically a swap (not sure Kyrie can play better than Isaiah did last year) and they have either the best or second best coach in the league. Anything less than ECF, sans major injury, is a failure. He went to by far the best situation he could. But I'm not concerned with how far they go as much as I'm concerned about his style of play

Not BNC, but the answer is facing Cleveland in the playoffs

Whether thats the ECF or the 2nd round, we should beat every team in the East not named Cleveland. Our only changes really presents improvement

Crowder >= Morris
Olynyk = Baynes
Bradley << Hayward
Johnson < Tatum
Thomas =< Irving

A loss to not the Cavs in the East playoffs is a disappointment

Thats a bit too much to expect Finals in the first year after only Al is left from the starting 5 that went to the ECF last year. Not to mention Jaylen and Tatum being so young since one of them will have to start at the 2. Not surprised you said Finals because its you, but ECF the first year would be a success in my eyes

I mean whoever is starting at the 2 is pointless because Marcus will be closing like he did last year

2016:
IT / Smart / AB / Jae / Al

2017:
Kyrie / Smart / Hayward / Morris / Al

We should be better than we were last year. ECF isnt the goal, its the expectation

Celtics do need anoter body in the frontcourt tho. One injury to Al or Morris and theyre extremely thin there

Splitter should take the min and sign there

What other cheap FAs are there left?

For sure. ECF or bust in my eyes. But finals the first year shouldnt be expected, even tho we never know what might happen.
