Right now you are looking at $77.3M in salary for next season in 8 guys. By renouncing Haywood and Tristan Thompson you'll be down to $53.9M but you would lose Thompson in that scenario. Still probably $8+ million short of what you need for Love. Could renounce Waiters and Bennett to get there, or get creative and find a way.

The Knicks recently attempted to make a trade for Minnesota Timberwolves star Kevin Love, offering forward Amar'e Stoudemire and his enormous expiring contract, second-year guard Tim Hardaway, Jr. and swingman Iman Shumpert, according to a person with knowledge of the situation.

But the longshot offer, made in the past week, was declined and never stood much of a chance, particularly since the Timberwolves could potentially strike a richer deal with the Cleveland Cavaliers involving No. 1 overall pick Andrew Wiggins. The Chicago Bulls, who have a bevy of intriguing assets to trade, have reportedly had conversations with Minnesota about Love in recent weeks since failing to sign Knicks star Carmelo Anthony in free agency.

I imagine he's a dope

Watching Kevin Love's John Elway-esque outlets to LeBron will probably make me get over Wiggins being traded.

In 2 years when you see someone in LA wearing a Wiggins Cavs shersy, 95% chance it's Mexi.

He has a picture with Jimmer. He's definitely an insider.

Most likely just a guy connecting the dots and making a highly probable guess based on current information, and will claim "I had it first". Saw a lot of this with LeBron's free agency.

I was thinking the Canadian was going to be traded. I don't think so after reading around. LeBron likes him.

I read that he likes Dion as well, really thinks highly of him (probably because he lit up the Heat a few times the last two years). I'm actually excited to see Dion with LeBron. I've always maintained that Dion is a good player with an incredibly high ceiling, not many share that sentiment. I know Zach Lowe did a podcast recently and said he believes that as well.
