While Lawrie is amazing with the glove, acquiring one of the best 3B in the league is huge.

I love this deal and I think AA has been pushing the right buttons thus far, which is a huge surprise.

I disagree

Wizard at 3rd

Good all around hitter.

Oakland Colisseum is a hitters nightmare but he's managed to put up some good offensive numbers.

He'll eat at Rogers centre.

Overrated third basemen. Good but not elite. Overrated hitter (just look at his numbers). I'll give you that the ballpark didn't help but I just don't think he's an elite level third basemen

Josh Donald is definitely an elite level 3rd basemen. His batting average was low because he had an abnormally low BABIP. That will recover.

Definitely Top 5 3B in MLB. Great acquisition for the Jays.

Doesn't make a lot of sense for the A's though. Thought they signed Billy Butler because they want to win now.

ESPN talks about him like he's one of the best players in all of baseball. He's not even close

If you're looking for all around play and taking into account positional value, he is.

I don't know much about these guys the Jays gave up and if they're highly touted in the minors other than Lawrie, but on the surface this looks like a home run for the Jays. They're making nice moves.

Nice upgrade for the Jays, I like it. I was surprised at first but it's starting to grow on me, Lawrie hasn't been the healthiest and he is starting to become a bit egotistical.

Love this trade for the Jays ! I hate to see Lawrie go but he hasn't been healthy enough and since we are in winning mode Josh fits perfectly into the lineup ! I'm just hoping that AA isn't done and gets some pitching...I would love to see Miller

Don't let his 250 avg from last season fool you. Dude has hit like 52 homers in the past two seasons, gets on base a ton and is arguably the best defensive 3B in the league. What more can you ask for?

Graveman and Nolin are sort of low ceiling guys, but Barretto has decent potential. I think Beane probably could have gotten a better package for Donaldson. I mean dude's been Oakland's best player for the past two seasons.

I just don't get what Oakland is trying to do.

Trade Cespedes for Lester who had no shot of staying. Sign Butler. Trade away DOnaldson. Trying to trade for Upton & Gattis.

Win or rebuild, pick one BILLY!
