Well, think about that the next time you wear any shirt/hoodie that isn't plain.

Like Stern wouldn't do it.

You think Stern would turn down extra advertising opportunities? It would have happened regardless, I just don't think he wanted to do it approaching the end of his tenure.
Let the new guy do the dirty work.

I find it hard to believe he didn't have companies knocking on the door heavily after/during the MJ era.

The NBA wasn't as big back then as it is now. The Jordan brand now alone is worth over a billion.

This is no different than having a shoe companies logo on your shoe, honestly.

Not the point. It's still there. It's not effecting the game, it's not effecting the enjoyment. It's just a damn sponsor. Now if they make the sponsor's logo and name in bright lime green neon and it blinds you, there's a legitimate complaint there.

I don't understand the outrage, at all. It's going to just be another logo on a jersey, who honestly cares?
Cause it's the Detroit Pistons, not the Detroit and PNC Bank Pistons.

I don't think anybody is saying that it'll have any impact on the game, but is it visually pleasing to have a logo on these (historic) jerseys? Hell no.

Would you like a tattoo of a company on your ass even though it wouldn't affect your daily life?

It is different.  It's like having a McDonald's sticker on your shoe, along with the shoe logo.

It's all about aesthetics.  Some people care more than others.  Personally, I've always loved good, clean jerseys.  I've even attempted to design a few jerseys in my time, so cluttering them up with ugly ass logos seems like sacrilege to me.

No, but if you want to put a logo on the right ass cheek of the pants I wear 82 times a year to increase revenue, I'm down.

NBA's got enough revenue.

I just don't like sports slapping logos for extra $$. Although if this brings in extra money for the Knicks and it allows them to lower ticket prices to soemthing near reasonable (which they still won't), then I can see that being beneficial.

Throw some logos on there to bring in money that won't be taken from the fans. That's something that I can get behind, but I doubt that's how this is going to work.

If I remember correctly like half the teams in the nba are losing money. Might be wrong though

They are probably losing profit increases, but I highly doubt they are losing money

in case they are losing money, they should lower players' salaries.
