The league is gonna approve a rule change that offensive rebounds will reset the shotclock to 14 instead of 24.

Pretty stupid. I don't get why the league would do any changes that would decrease the amount of fast breaks in a game. It's the most exciting part of basketball, apart from game winners.

Thats already a FIBA rule and in my opinion it makes perfect sense.

I guess not the actual amount of fastbreaks, but the amount of highlight plays

Just cause a team only has 14 seconds to get another shot off that possession doesn't mean people won't crash. Just means they will put up another shot quicker.

More possessions means more scoring and faster pace

Also makes late close game situations a little more interesting. Teams won't foul as much cause the offensive rebound team will need to put a shot back up
