It seems like this conversation keeps happening though. This is just a opinion thing I believe... Very subjective. If you dont mind it that's you but personally I think it was wack and uncompetitive of the dude. Not that he had to stay in OKC, but it sucks to see a team that was 73-9 actually get even better. How is that possible lol.
You understand that he made the decision based on what he thinks would make him happiest, right? And that that is pretty much the only thing that should actually matter in his decision making?

He was talking from a fans perspective

Us as fans dont give a fuck about his feelings and his happiness

We want competitive basketball

Think he wants to be in that class, or the class of MJ, magic, LeBron, etc?

He aint ever gonna be in their class. Warriors aint winning 4-6 rings and hes like 29

Ill still stand by that winning one in okc vs winning 2 or 3 in gs would be far more respectable among greats

Well he was never winning with Westbrook so he'd rot away his prime waiting for him to leave

3 minutes away from the finals

Shouldnt have disappeared in games 6 and 7 and start being extra passive

But you know, when youre texting draymond and steph all season about going there, not surprised he disappeared

Okc had a contender, they had a chance to win a ring. What else can you ask for. Not like he was on some bum ass team

Do you know how many contenders have been right there year after year and never won it? Look at Utah in the 90's

Durant cared more about winning than anything else. He left money on the table. Typically this type of thing would be admired.

Well utah had the GOAT in the way, thats for another day

Maybe karl or stockton should have said fuck it , MJ let me join bc we really wanna win too...

Everyone wants to win, but its how you go about it and how you win matters too

Thats why we always talk about lebrons easy competition, or the warriors 2015 run, bill russells and so on

Winning a ring is one thing, but winning a true war and taking down worthy teams matters too to say maan that team really earned it

With that logic cc, the nba should just make it a 10 team league and have all the stars join the same teams

That'd be way more fair than what we seeing now

You can empathize with KD and still be upset with the decision at the same time.
I don't get why we're still talking about this.

For him the NBA is his work place for me it's purely entertainment. Of course he and I are gonna have different motivations.
