I still just don't know what that's supposed to mean. So what if he's the best player when the other team has 2 MVPs and way above average role players? Once again last night, him being the best player didn't mean anything. Not saying they will lose the Finals yet but it's just interesting how people can discredit this Warriors team like that.
2 teams

1 is a super team, the other has the overall best player

I picked lebron to win. Whats the big deal?

Yeah he wasnt the best last night

It's more fun to play when you kick the shit out of other teams

Sure, when the other team is on your own level

Beating up on the JV team in practice wasnt fun for me, and the entire league is JV compared to this varsity warriors team

These guys just dont wanna compete, they want it easy. Shame

You think the Cavs are like the JV team?

Like it wouldn't be fun the beat the Nets by 20, but beating the Spurs and Cavs by 20+? That would be a blast

They only beat the Spurs because zazas the real mvp

Cavs not a jv team of course, but talent wise, warriors are head and shoulders above, thats the problem

ive been saying this for a while, and it's probably why i'm like the only one on this board who isn't upset with KD's move to GS

Durant did not want to play with Westbrook, period. Russ is a talented player for sure, but his style of play forces way too many shots without proper ball movement, and forces a team to play iso heavy offense. Russ is a ballhog, and it became even more obvious of that this year when he had a record high USG%.

He was never returning to play with Russ last offseason. So he had his options elsewhere -- Clippers, Celtics, and Warriors. Why the fuck would he not choose the Warriors? He was already friends with Draymond and Iggy, and what he wanted the most was to win a title.

Clippers would have had to do so much finagling around the roster that i'm not sure who they'd even have outside of cp3 and i doubt they'd contend. boston would have been close, but at the same time look how cleveland just dismantled them; they look a little more than just one star away

It's a fucking obvious decision to join the Warriors. I don't care if Jordan, or Bird, or Magic didn't go team hopping and stayed with their teams, because they were happy where they were. Reports were flying last year that KD was not happy with playing with RW, and so when he hit FA he joined the team that gave him the best shot of winning a title. And look, he just scored 38 in Game 1 where nobody outside of him and Steph hit double digits. As of this point they're on pace to win the title BECAUSE of Durant, and that's why he's justified for doing what he did
It's not about that for me. It's just the way it all happened that makes his decision so wack. And as a fan this isn't particularly what i wanted to see. That could be me though. At the end of the days this sposed to be entertainment and suspenseful but it's kinda like a spoiled tv show to me lol. I ain't gonna count the Cavs out yet cause I think they do have a chance but this is just absurd. I do and don't blame Durant. His decision at the end of day and if it's about rings than sure go ahead, but I don't think it helps his legacy is he cares about that. There were great players who never won rings. People still love AI naw?

I'm just talking from a fan perspective that this is shitty lol.

From Durant's perspective it's about what he wants but it was hella wack to leave to a team that just barely beat you.

It seems like this conversation keeps happening though. This is just a opinion thing I believe... Very subjective. If you dont mind it that's you but personally I think it was wack and uncompetitive of the dude. Not that he had to stay in OKC, but it sucks to see a team that was 73-9 actually get even better. How is that possible lol.

During last year's WCF no basketball fan said "Man, I wish OKC's best player was on Golden State. That would make this much more entertaining."

Durant going to GSW killed all intrigue about the immediate future of the league. The Cavs have the best player in the world, surrounded by the best team he's ever had and it's not enough. The Warriors are just too good. We know who's winning this year, and barring injuries or one of the big 4 leaving, we know who's winning next year, and the year after that, and the year after that...

'If I could score 6 pts a game and it gets us 4 wins and an NBA chip, I can do that every year.' - Klay Thompson on his subpar shooting

Lol
