The pick is no longer tradeable for just jimmy butler, you have to get more for Fultz.
But if you could trade Bradley, Brown, plus for butler, you should right?
thats why paulys hashtag annoys me

Jaylen Brown is who chicago will get in a butler deal. Not fultz. Fultz would only be traded for like, Anthony davis or someone lol

In general I've never really been a huge Butler fan. I would quickly warm to him if hes traded to boston most likely but hes such an iso dependent player for chicago and boston was 29th in iso plays ran this year. I also really like Jaylen a lot, and he could be really freaking nice if he further develops his shot. I was thinking about this yesterday and his game and size reminds me a good bit on pre-'93 Reggie Lewis.

My choices for what to do about adding another scorer

1. Try to clear space for Hayward
2. Trade for George
3. Trade for Butler

I know jake will say "butler>george" but I think george is a far better player off-ball and as a shooter. plus he's probably cheaper to get.

But yeah, we're not trading Fultz to Chicago. If he's going to be traded, its a very short list of targets as compensation.

Towns
AD
Giannis
maybe Jokic
maybe Westbrook
maybe Porzingis

and those first 4 arent being moved, period. idk about the westbrook trade due to age and boston having way too many guards, and porzingis may not be enough (KP+8 for 1+2018 BOS might not be bad though)

but Butler isnt anywhere near enough for fultz

The problem with trading for PG is you have no guarantee he resigns. He seems destined for LA

So the Celtics are adding the best prospect to enter the league since LeBron to the best team in the East. Should be the clear favorites to repeat after they win the title this year.

I mean I wouldn't trade anything more than like Rozier and the 2018 BOS 1st if George didn't agree to sign an extension. If he doesn't agree to an extension then Indiana isn't going to be able to trade him for much of any value.

Media reports do say he wants to play for the Lakers. Two of the three best Celtics in the 21 Century grew up as Lakers fans (Pierce, Isaiah) so its not like he can't be convinced of playing for Boston.

He can hit free agency, sign with the Lakers in 2018-19. He'll sign a $132.9M max over four years, and play with Lonzo Ball, Brandon Ingram, and Julius Randle with no extra cap to get additional help, and be on a team that at best makes the playoffs and gets eliminated in Rd1.

Or he can agree to a sign-and-extend with Boston. Agree to be paid $177.5M over five years, be on a top 2 team in the Eastern Conference with vets and talented youth to ensure years of success. You still might not make the Finals, but you can't really guarantee that unless you go to GS/CLE/SA, and certainly not with the Lakers.

He can choose to play for Lakers in mediocrity -- its his call. If its about the money, he can even Carmelo his way there and force the Lakers to trade D'Lo, Ball, or Ingram in the process too! But I honestly don't see a better situation for him than Boston (and yes I know Im biased)

Are you doing this based on their hype at the time they were drafted? If so this is an awfully inaccurate list

I'm not yet as high on Fultz as the general public is. From what I've seen he looked a little bit sluggish and disinterested at times and his energy came in spurts. It could very well be because of his bad team and how he could still get his with just 50% effort at times, but I'm interested in seeing his game translate.

He also has the sleepy eyes. Sleepiest eyes since McGrady

Butler is a better player than George in a vacuum.

Schemes exist tho.  Maybe George is a better fit.  I don't know.

All NBA was released

Harden only unanimous recipient
Hayward and George did not make the team. Hayward loses his DPVE and George needs to make the team next year to receive his
