He is just a really boring dude. Great player, best player of our generation, but boring as hell
Might be boring, but doesn't look it when he plays.

I'm liking Josh Rutledge and the fact that he is playing more.

i hate the open market

But like friedman says. Sometimes you have to overpay to get guys you want

He said this right before giving a closer 85mil lol
I just imagine you can get multiple guys, and good players at that for the amount you'd be spending on Harper in the first two years of that contract. It would be smart for the Nationals to trade him if they can any sign that they might not be able to retain him. Plus what if Harper just drops off randomly or has a lot of injuries. Idk I don't like super long deals but it's not like he's old so it wouldn't be the worst but still.

Good thing the NL Central sucks.  Literally every single player on the Cubs outside of maybe Wade Davis has been a big disappointment to start the year and they about 2 GB. And people were pissed they went all in last year lmao

Touche on going all in

i dont think guys like zobrist, russell, baez, heyward, hendricks are disappointments tho. They are playing like themselves. Sure maybe they perform a little better, but this is closer to their norms than last year imo

Well, I never voted him the best outfielder, but I do like the guy.

He might be the best defensive outfielder, but he's not hitting very well at all right now.

I love his D, but still give me Kiermaier.

Even though centre is obviously harder to play, you could argue Betts is a better defender as well. Right field at Fenway is no joke.

He's not even in the top 2 defensive center fielders in baseball, and he's not even a top ten center fielder overall. It was a huge overreaction mixed with Red Sox fans overrating him

MLB Tonight is in bizarro world. They've got a guy who sounds like Amsinger who isn't Amsinger, a guy who sounds like Millar who isn't Millar, and a black guy sitting in Harold Reynolds' seat who isn't Harold Reynolds.
