PwnPedroia, I hope you enjoy seeing Fister pitch for the last time in a Red Sox uniform.

Also, I hope Fister struggles early on Sunday and Porcello comes in and throws shutdown innings en-route to a Sox win, just to see the hilarity that would take place on this board
We are half way there!

Like I said, he can be really good or really bad.  I did like him, but I knew it did not look good with him starting an elimination game because it's too risky.  You don't know if it's a good day or a bad day until it happens.

Honestly, our whole rotation needs revamping.  On a good team, Pomeranz is a 3 or 4 starter.  He's our #2 right now.

We should have started Price if we wanted to go anywhere this postseason.  But that's a risk too.

Honestly though, as bad as our pitching is, our offense hasn't had any fraction all season long.  No consistency whatsoever.  A big part of that was losing Ortiz.  A big part of that was Farrell changing the lineup every day.  And still another part of that was that our guys just aren't producing runs.  We get bases loaded and only one run out of it.  We've picked away on offense all season long, never really produced runs unless we make outs to do so.

His assessment of the offense isnt wrong. Like its dead on.

Its just the whole fister/porcello argument that creates the drama

It made for good debate, but Fister did turn out far under the expectations I had for him (I'd still take him over Porcello for light of a possible good outing).

We've pulled ahead, but who knows if that holds.  Only reason we got hits is because Francisco Liriano is a mediocre pitcher in the AL... if they kept Peacock in he might have got us out.

And if we get the chance to send Porcello to the mound tomorrow... not sure that's a good thing.

But the season really rests on how well we hit offensively.  We're capable of pitching for the most part, it's our hitting I'm more concerned with.

Man, Price is looking really good out there.  That's one of the deals I never bashed.  I always loved the Price deal.  We overpaid the guy, but he's a winner.  Even if it backfires, in hindsight, it was a great deal at the time.  Not one of the likes of HanRam, Porcello, or Sandoval.

By the way, my whole "David Price sucks in the postseason" was a whole joke targeted toward those select few who claim everyday aces (Kershaw, Price) suck in the postseason.  Right now the guy is a winner and you can't deny his talent even if he has a few bad outings in the postseason.

So, to @bosoxlover12 , I just tell it like it is.  I'm not happy with a lot of team, I'll admit, but Price is the one guy I've backed.  If we had him healthy we'd probably would've won 98 games or so.  The guy is a fighter and that's what you need to win.  It's not just his ability, it's his attitude.
