A lot of it has to do defensively too. If your bigs can cover the perimeter it is easier to mitigate the difference, but there aren't a ton of those bigs out there that are good perimeter defenders and can score insideCameronCrazy06 said:Teams can counter small ball with big guys if they want to. But yeah, threes are just too much. Teams would need to shoot 9.6% better from two to make the two and three equal in weight. That difference, while not right away seeming gigantic, is roughly the same gap as it is from 1959's shooting numbers to now. It's never going to happen
