Cousins shoots threes?
Hes adjusting to this nonsense. Bigs have to shoot threes or else theyll never get ball inside anymore in the near future.

So sad that the big man center position has been dying. Cousins is the only hope left. Just sad.
The league needs some serious big men and fast.

The inside game is dying. I said the position is dying. Its soon not to be relevant bc its going to be all about threes

You still need the rim protection so centers will always have their place in the league

But theres teams that dont have that balance. Rockets Warriors etc . They just rely on the 3 ball to fall every night. Then we saw what happened vs yall last year and other numerous of times when the shot wasnt falling

OR teams realized that if you can efficiently make threes, that it makes more sense to shoot there.

---

Teams average 58.6 two-pointers per game, making it 29.1 times per game (49.7%).
Statistically, if a team makes 49.7% of their two point shots, it is equivalent to a team making 33.1% of their three point shots.

So when teams are shooting 39.5% from three, why would they not take more threes?

Rim protectors are the rodmans who are below average scores

Big men are shaqs hakeems etc

Embiid can be mini hakeem , but hes starting to fall in love with the three. Every big has bc they know thats the future, which to me is just sad

You still need guys who can get into the paint, score in the paint, or create the threat of driving so those three point shots are actually decent enough looks. Can't just take highly contested threes all game, cause they won't drop at a high enough rate.

They don't do it because it's "the future", they do it because it's smart basketball

Teams can take threes , im not saying they cant. Im saying a big man should do what big men do and do his job in the paint or the midrange like it was always done

Theyre starting to shoot threes now bc they see what the future is becoming. A huge 3 point contest and whoever is hot that night wins. Just my opinion tho. I simply like the inside out basketball with two bigs (marc zbo) on the blocks and kicking out to shooters.

What aggrivates me the most is when teams take 3s on fastbreak when they have a 3 on 1 break. Thats not how i was taught basketball. Always go for the easy two on a 3 to 1 break.

Rodman wasnt a rim protector
one of my biggest pet peeves

rim protector ≠ good lowpost defender

Al Horford is a good rim protector. He's an average lowpost defender
Kendrick Perkins (when in Boston) was a great lowpost defender, and an awful rim protector

Rodman was a great lowpost defender. Luc was the rim protector on those Bulls teams
