Yeah in the sense that it's two teams that will finish middle of the pack in their conference with no real chance to win a title that also have no history whatsoever with one another

Half the teams that play on Christmas Day usually have no shot at a title, so that's nothing new.

You're an idiot, the Norris Cole return to Miami is obviously the pull.

Hahah

But obviously it will be the early game for a reason, which is usually New York or Brooklyn

Apparently the Pels aren't slated for just a Christmas day game but also a nationally televised game on opening night

I assume Cavs/Warriors is Christmas? Probably opens the season as well on TNT.

Unless they don't want it on both days, and want to say the match up, idk. Could open the season with GS and LAC, or HOU

I don't think you'll see it both nights, how often do you get a Finals rematch on opening night?

I wouldn't be surprised to see Pels at Warriors on opening night

Clippers at Mavericks better be the opening night showdown

It's not the best possible matchup but I don't think it would be a missed opportunity. Lakers at Warriors would be a missed opportunity. Clippers at Warriors would be better but I want to see Clips at Mavs to start the season, the intensity of that matchup will only die down further into the season we get.

Has the schedule already been announced? I'm just speculating.

But they LOVE those bad blood games on Christmas so it wouldn't surprise me if they held clippers/Mavericks until then

There is a 0% chance they're starting the season with Mavs/Clips. As CC said, that's a Christmas game if anything.
