I think his point was to have more floor spacers in the 2nd unit

That said, if for some reason you do that, because the starting line is already it's best, I'd bench Pierce not Redick

Mostly, I just think it's foolish to choose to limit Lance Stephenson's overall effectiveness by not giving him starter minutes. Why trade for him in the first place if you're not going to use him correctly? A maximized Lance Stephenson is unarguably more valuable than JJ Redick, imo.

I do like JJ Redick. I just don't think he's a starter if you've got a potential stud sitting behind him on the bench, a potential stud who needs the minutes to get used to his teammates and find his role.

JJ Redick is a much better fit in the starting 5 than Lance Stephenson, I'm sorry. I don't know why you're so high on the guy.

Why are you all dismissing the player Lance was in his last year in Indy?

Stephenson is far from a potential stud. He essentially had a long stretch of games to start off the 2013-2014 season and for some reason that got him his reputation. He's really done little of note beyond that. If anyone remembers, by the end of that season he was viewed as the problem with Indy, or atleast one of them.

Because that player was still highly erratic and overrated.

Pelicans didn't pick up Toney Douglas contract, which is why Miami was interested in moving Napier for him.
