The reason the mlb draft isnt exciting is because the majority of these players arent going to make an immediate impact with their respective teams. Most will be in the minors for the next 3-4 years, whereas nfl and nba most start in their 1st year.

I'm sure there is a reason for it being in the middle of the season but that sucks too
